The week's theme for Photo Hunter's is broken. I was tearing my hair out trying to find a picture for this. The only ones I found were of my hand when I broke it a couple of years ago but they were b-o-r-i-n-g. Then I remembered I had a great one for broken.A mountain that literally broke.
Driving up towards it you can see how the front face of it has slid away.
But you don't realize the extent of it until you are looking at it face on. They actually ran the highway right through it.
So when you look on the other side of the highway, this is the scene. That's my teens climbing the boulders. They are huge and you cannot see the end of this boulder bed. At 4 in the morning part of a town, mines, and 2 kim of railway track were buried under this disaster which happened in 1903.For more information on the Frank Slide you can go here.

Great theme for "broken". I was hoping to start participating in this meme this weekend on my photo blog but I was thinking it was on Sundays for some reason! I'll join next week! One thing that is going to make it a little hard for me is that on my blog I post a picture each day that was taken that day. I don't post things from the past, so let's hope I can hunt down something "cuddly" to shoot next Saturday! Great Pics!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Our power outage had some great fun moments, like Sadir (our boxer) and my husband. I thought it was the funniest thing when I woke up and saw trying to crawl up in the chair with him. The picture still makes me laugh out loud.

This is an incredible story. Disasters happen everywhere. How sad for their families that so many are still buried in the rubble.
