For Today:
Outside my window... Windy, windy, windy. So windy it woke me up at 5:16. In the a.m. But the wind brings the warm, up to 18*C supposedly today. We'll see.
I am thinking... about a meeting I have tonight concerning the church's food cupboard
I am thankful... for good friends
In the kitchen... a quick Hungarian supper of sliced sausages, potatoes, onions in a type of stew, lots of apples on the counter so I'm hoping for an apple crisp.
I am creating... lists upon lists upon lists for all the things that are on my plate in the next couple of months
I am going... to ladies study tonight
I am wondering... where the heck all our phones are. There are 4 of them. The two I found are both dead and I can't locate the other two. Which probably means they are also dead.
I am reading... Lake of Dreams by Kim Edwards. Just started it after setting aside The Winter Palace. Just could not get into it.
I am hoping... I get all my phone calls done that I need to make in the next 2 days. About thirty of them. I kid not.
I am looking forward to... finding them durn phones. LOL. No really, I'm looking forward to an extra day off next week, maybe a day trip to the big city?
I am learning... to recognize when I no longer have a desire or vision to build and expand on areas and learning that it's okay to hand it off to someone else. It is not a failure on my part if I do.
Around the house... way too much cleaning to do. After a busy weekend, the cleaning sort of got ignored.
I am pondering... the message from church yesterday on teaching your children and passing on your faith to them
A favorite quote for today...
"A good marriage is not something you find, it's something you work for"
Gary Thomas
Sacred Marriage
pg. 133
One of my favorite things... a fresh vacuumed carpet. Weird, I know, but it makes me feel good
A few plans for the rest of the week: mega phone calls, grocery shopping, shopping for Operation Christmas Child boxes
A peek into my day:

I tend to put off phone calls -- I would hate having to make that many.
I so agree about it being ok to hand off ministries, or aspects of them, as the Lord leads. I usually feel guilty if I do, but sometimes that desire to do so is from Him and He has someone else prepared for it.
Supper sounds absolutely delicious. Set another place. I'll be right over:)
I just love what you're learning. I need to keep it in mind!
Ouch. That's a lot of calls. I agree with you on the timing to hand off a project. Sometimes it's just someone else's turn :-) Hope the winds don't keep you up again.
Lists upon lists upon lists...that sounds like me, too. I need a list of my lists! ha. But they definitely keep me organized so I'm not complaining about them.
30 phone calls? Yikes. That would be a nightmare for me. I am not a phone person. Hope you got them over with. And found all your phones. :-)
Love the Gary Thomas quote (and the whole book actually). And the picture of the geese. We've had quite a few visiting ones the past few weeks on their way to warmer weather.
Hope you're having a great week!
Oh I just LOVED Lake of Dreams!!! She is a good author!! I read her other one too. And yay for apple crisp and clean, freshly vacuumed carpets!! It sounds like you have a busy week ahead of you..sure hope you find those phones!! :)
I really liked all these....and ESPECIALLY a freshly vacuumed carpet, it's as nice a clean bedding to me.xxxxx
