Friday's Fave Five #79

Welcome to Friday Fave Five. Join us as we remember five of those things that, over our last week, has blessed us. Details are here if you need them.

1. My oldest being home.
She made it safe and sound and now we're having a wonderful visit.

2. A day trip to the big city. We made a quick family trip to the big city on Sunday. We had a errand to run, but then it was just fun time. Dinner at one our fave restaurants was a nice end to the trip.

3. A new spring purse. I do love my purses. It's about my only indulgence. I always laugh at myself and say my clothes my not be all that but boy I sure have great bags. Hubby gifted me with a nice spring/summer colored one. Now if it would get nice enough to pack away the winter coat I could start using it.

4. Il Divo in Barcelona concert on PBS. I've been enjoying watching this concert this week. I don't listen to this kind of music very often but I do enjoy this group.

5. This scent from Bath and Body Works. It's sooo nice. We don't have a Bath and Body Works in my city. So it's a treat to visit their store when we go to the big city and get to try a new to me fragrance. I wanted to try the new scent, Orange Sapphire, but it doesn't come out until the end of the month. They only had small purse size bottles of lotion. And it is nice! I might just have to order that one.

What were your favorites from this last week? Do and post and link on up so we can come and visit you.

Now I'm off to take in every moment with my visiting daughter. Have a great weekend.

Enjoy your visit with your daughter. These are truly precious times. Isn't it fun to 'sightsee' and be a tourist in your 'local big city'?

Your new spring purse sounds lovely. I once read that the best way to update a wardrobe is with purses and shoes. Sounds like you've done it!

My FFF is a reversal this week... asking for readers to choose their favs. :~D

Hope you have a wonderful time visiting with your daughter!

I wonder if they had the Il Divo concert on here and I missed it?! I've only hear them on YouTube clips and as a guest on one show. I'd love to see a whole concert.

My daughter only got to come home for one day this week; it wasn't quite enough for me but I'm trying to learn to take what I can get. Enjoy your time with your daughter--they are precious moments! Glad you had/are having a good week.

I know you are enjoying your time with your daughter. I was sad that basketball interrupted some of our shows last night :0)...
It's fun to have a "Big City" near by. I was just thinking about changing out my purse for a more springy look!
Have a wonderful weekend Susanne...

Great that you are having a wonderful visit with your daughter. I am fortune to have several Bath and Body Works near me. I like their antibacterial soaps. I keep them by each sink. Thanks for hosting Susanne!

Moonlight Path SOUNDS nice.

I wish I could figure out the whole "what purse goes with what" thing. Right now it's more of a "how much can I fit into the diaper bag/backpack without breaking my back?"

Sounds like you are having an awesome time with your family! Glad to hear it. Enjoy your weekend!

Any week that has a daughter and a purse is a good week indeed! I went shoe shopping with my daughter last Sunday and we both fell in love with a fabulous teal bag. Much as we loved it, we both decided no...and now I regret it! ;)

I don't know how your new scent smells - but it sure is PRETTY! Does that count?

I love new purses too! I like to be all matchy for Easter! It's really my only dress up day of the year!

I should break out my purse for spring. I wonder if all of my stuff will fit in it? I may just have to do some sorting today. :-)

Enjoy the family time this weekend!

I love reading these posts about how much mothers love seeing their daughters. Sometimes I feel like I'm bothering my mom calling her as frequently as I do, but these remind me that she loves me and would be crushed if I ever stopped calling.

Thanks for the inspiration. :-) Enjoy your daughter.

I totally love purses, too. I'm getting a new one this weekend ... my daughter is going to a purse outlet and picking one for me. I can't wait!

Glad you and your daughter are getting to visit. Make good memories!

I need a new spring purse too. When girlie heads back and you have a minute, post a picture of your new bag - I need inspiration :)

In the meantime, hope you enjoy every minute of your time with her!
