Friday's Fave Five #77

Hi & welcome to Friday's Fave Five. Yes, it's really #77. I made a mistake last week. We have a new button! Fresh and springy. I'm hoping that by putting it up Nature will take note and start guiding us into spring. Feel free to grab it to use on your posts or in your sidebar. Then join in and tell us what your favorite things from your week have been. If you're new you can go here for the guidelines and then just jump right in.

1. Well you know, I just have to list the Gold Medal Hockey Game as the first right? I mean what kind of good little Canadian would I be if it didn't make the list. It was great because it was such an awesome game to watch. Lots of heart stopping moments, really close and definitely a nail biter. Just the way I like it. And making it even better was having a friend over who also likes hockey to watch it with me. Sheesh, and I've declared twice now I wouldn't mention the Olympics anymore.

2. Beautiful weather. It has been just lovely here for the past week or so. The beginnings of a breath of spring. I'm under no illusions and know there is probably one more blast of snow coming sometime but now it will be what we call spring snow. It won't hang around long and it won't be frigid. But right now, we've been going outside as much as we can soaking up the sun. It's wonderful after a long winter.

3. Going for walks. Because of the gorgeous weather, I've been so much more motivated to get out there and get some exercise with good ol' walking. And my walking partner has been a very happy pooch who is just as glad to be getting out and about.

4. A nice slow, fairly stress free week. It was one of those easy going weeks that are really a gift from God around here. Low stress, no running around. Each day just flowed nicely from one into another.

5. Mini Honey Mandarins. I nabbed a few boxes of these just because they were a really good deal. Now I wish I had bought way more. They are the sweetest, most lovely tasting little oranges I've ever had. And when I say tiny I mean tiny. These are them in relation to Fruit Loops. Aren't they the cutest little oranges? Each section is smaller than my thumbnail. But boy they pack enough honey tasting sweet in their tinyness that two is enough. So delicious.

Share with us what your favorites from your week have been. Do a post and add it to our Mr. Linky. Please link to the specific post and not your home page. It will make it easier to find the FFF post for those visiting you. Have a great weekend.

Oh, I love those little oranges, too :-) I've bought several batches and each one is slightly different. Yay for the little taste of spring, even if it won't last. And congrats on a low-stress week. I've had the opposite, but still a good week. Happy weekend, Susanne.

I haven't grown tired of reading about the winter olympics so no. 1 was a fun read :) What an adorable walking partner! Your mini honey mandarins really are such a delight to imagine. I'd buy them in an instant if I saw them here. Happy Friday!

Walks, beautiful weather and healthy fruit. Yup. I'd say Spring is definitely around the corner! We've had a lovely bright week here in Belgium as well, feeling the sun on your skin makes your heart sing, doesn't it?

When I saw your #1, I had to stop and think, "Was that this week?" It was, but somehow it seems like so long ago! It was definitely exciting.

We're supposed to get some really nice weather over the weekend. I am looking forward to it!

I had never heard of those mini honey mandarins. I'll have to look for them -- they sound good!

Your week sounds so delightful. And congrats on the gold medal win. I thought about all my Canadian blogging pals on Sunday afternoon. Hockey isn't a big sport in the southern U.S. where I live, but I know enough to understand it is elsewhere. Those mandarins look so delicious. I am SO ready for spring. Love the new button!

Love the new button, Susanne. Those little oranges are so good, my kids eat them like candy. They're called "cuties" here.

I did not watch 'the game' and didn't think to post about it - but I am also a proud Canadian, thanks to all the medal winning athletes - including the hockey players. Sounds like a game I should not have missed.

Those little ornges are as tasty as they are cute!

It surely seems like spring....hope the next blast of snow does not bring deep freeze temperatures!

So glad you had a stress free week!

Sounds like a wonderful week Susanne! That game was worthy of speaking of more then once or twice! :0)
I'm glad you had some glimpses of spring around your place and chances for walks...
Have a wonderful weekend...

What a nifty new logo ;-)
Hope it helps bring Spring to those still buried in snow. I find Molly, my lab, keeps me walking more regularly ... and we're BOTH happier (and healthier) for it. I've not tried those honey mandarins but I just LOVE Satsuma tangerines! My week was busier than usual but I'm hoping for a slower pace starting tomorrow.
Hugs and blessings,

WOW! I thought clementines were small! I've never seen those tiny mandarin's in my store. I love mandarin oranges though... never had a fresh one. I hope we get some!

LOL! I just mentioned the Spring header on MY blog this morning - and now here it is! It is NOT spring in my neck o' the woods yet -- and I wonder how it is that CANADA gets spring before MARYLAND??? Something is not right ... LOL!

Your walking partner is ADORABLE! And I bet he is just happy as can be!!!

That hockey game was ON in the restaurant that my son took me too on Sunday... and we even had some Canadian FANS in there too! But MOST were rooting for the U.S. - I admit! It WAS a great game though and my sincerest congratulations to the winners!

That hockey game was fantastic. I don't think I had ever screamed that much before :). Both teams were great.

I also like the little mandarins and the nice springy weather. Thanks for the new button. Very cool!

I haven't heard of mini honey mandarins. But they look like what we call "clementines" here. When I find a good batch of them in the winter, it is pure heaven in an orange skin. Wunderbar!

I came back for a bit to thank you for the suggestion you left on my post. And I love the spring button!

I've never tried those mandarins - I'll be looking for them now.

I'm looking forward to spring weather - we haven't had it here yet - but we've had hints. Dog walking will be on my agenda when it finally comes.

Wasn't that a game!! Hard on the nerves but turned out perfectly :)

I enjoyed your list Susanne :)

That hockey game was a nailbiter!! I don't even like hockey but we were all sitting on the edge of our seats screaming at the TV especially in the last minute of the third period.
Love those little mandarins!! You have to eat about a half dozen of them to make a navel orange size!
Isn't the weather wonderful!!

A number of your favorites would also be favorites of mine.

Beautiful weather allowing for walks during a stress decreased week with a mandarin to eat on my return. :-)

Happy Friday friend.

This is a great post. I just had one of the ‘Doh!’ moments and ran back to correct my own site before publishing my comment. You see my own comment form did not match what I’m about to advice. I get less comment than you, so never noticed any problem. I’ve changed it now anyway so here goes.
