Friday's Fave Five #65

1. This fun website I found this week. Sorta fun to browse around and get some ideas.

2. Stash Pumpkin Spice Tea. So good. I saw it at the store last night and just knew I had to get it in preparation for the blizzard that is on it's way this afternoon and tonight. Yup, we got a warning out for most of Alberta. I guBoldess no Christmas shopping tomorrow night. I'll be sitting home curled up with a large cup of this tea and a book and a good movie or two.

3. Friends who encourage you and bring out the best in you. I've really appreciated friends this week who encouraged me as I was nervous about getting up in front of people. It's great having them behind me. Makes me feel like I can do anything challenging with them along. I hope I am that kind of friend to them too.

4. Seeing an old friend I haven't seen in for about 10 years. The speaker at the Ladies Night was an old friend. It seemed we picked up where we left off, laughing and reminiscing and catching up. I've got to make a point of staying in touch.

5. Christmas Scented Candles. I love the scents of Christmas candles. Cinnamon, Candy Cane, Balsam, Pine. And I got a new one: Canadiana Christmas. Wow, I wish I could send the smell through the computer. So good.

So that's a wrap up for this week. I've got a busy weekend ahead. My sister's birthday today. Hopefully it won't be blizzarding so bad that we can't go for cake and ice cream. But if it is, I've got the tea kettle and movie ready to go. Saturday I plan on putting up the tree which is always an experience in itself. Hopefully you've had a good week. If not sometimes the best exercise there is is to look for the little things that were favorites. What were yours this week? If you've done a post please sign up on the Mr. Linky (connecting to the post and not your home page, please) so that we can come and visit. Have a great weekend. If you don't hear from me by Monday please send a dog sled or a St. Bernard or something. :v)

Oh, and a quick mention and a little link that I'm looking forward to next week. Join Donnetta at My Quiet Corner on December 14th and share your favorite Christmas memory.

I've been enjoying cups of tea this week, too. I really love #3. Encouragement is so important and goes a long way...
Hope your celebrations go well :0)

Snow! I'm thinking "White Christmas", the movie. Stay safe, warm and dry in the blizzard.

I love candles, just not scented ones. The glow of candlelight is beautiful, but the allergy attack The Professor gets from the fragrance is not.

Isn't it great catching up with old friends?

Thank you for hosting this each week, Susanne!

Mmm, that tea sounds fabulous! With hopes that some rain is on the way, I'm looking forward to cups of tea, too. Oh, your #4 is delightful -- catching up is great. Enjoy your busy weekend, Susanne!

A scented candle, a good movie or a book and a cup of that delicious tea, that sounds very homely and cozy to me. Add good friends and family to that and nothing could be better!

Wow, what a wonderful week you had! I love tea, but never have seen the Stash Pumpkin Spice Tea before. It sounds and looks very inviting. Good friends are one of the best. Have a great weekend :)

Love the new FFF button!

That Christmas site is really neat -- I will have to come back later and browse around some more.

Loved your thoughts about friends on #4 and 5.

Hope you don't get any blizzards!

I bookmarked that website to go back and look around later! Thanks!

I HOPE they carry that tea in my grocery store... I'm going to look for it. If not, I'll order it. I do love pumpkin!

I love catching up with old friends -- isn't that just the greatest!? I have a couple of friends - right here in my NEIGHBORHOOD that I haven't seen in a few years... I need to get in touch with them...

I hope you don't get bombarded with snow - but if blizzard is the forecast - bombarded is probably what they mean. I'm putting up our tree today - and a flurry or two would help motivate me. But I don't really wanna see WHITE until January!

Have another great week Susanne!

I'll imagine the smell of canadiana
christmas:) It must look great too. I wouldn't mind a blizzard if it involves curling up with a cup of tea, a book or a good movie.

Have fun putting up your tree and I hope your sister's birthday goes wonderfully.

Catching up with old friends always makes for a good week. Those teas sound really cozy.

Stay safe in the storm and enjoy the down time!

Love the new button! Scented candles are the greatest invention, aren't they? My house smells like Yankee Candle, but no one has complained so far.

catching up with a friend after 10 years has to be so wonderful. and then friends who have your back - that is a blessing.
You did have a great week and I'm happy for you.
I wish you could send the scent of the Canadian Christmas candle through the computer - I'm curious.
happy weekend.

A real honest to goodness blizzard?

I would LOVE that. We don't get many snow storms in these parts, but they are calling for 1 to 2" of snow tomorrow, and I'm beside myself with excitement! lol

Wow, I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to live in a place where you can EXPECT blizzards! That'd be kinda cool...once or twice. =D

The tea looks wonderful. I'd like to try it! And thanks for the tip on the Christmas website.

Happy birthday to your sister!

Friends are invaluable. Glad you have those who encourage you, and those that you encourage (like all of us in bloggy world!).

Thanks for the fun link. I've bookmarked it to do some browsing myself.

OH, I've not tried pumpkin spice tea. We've had our pumpkin spice latte discussion and I've heard this tea is delightful also. I just may have to try it! I'd be curious to know how you like it.

Friends... new and old...always a favorite!! :-)

Being an enjoyer of candles as well I too wish you could send that scent through the computer. YUM!

Also, thanks so much for the link to my Christmas Memories carnival coming up! Made my day! :-)

Happy Friday! Stay warm and safe!

We were just visiting a tea store in the mall last Friday and I found some that I really love. Talked myself out of it and I've regretted it since then since it's so cold! (and here I am in Texas talking cold to somebody that lives where you do!!!)

Two doctor appointments this morning and 2 computer freezes later but I'm finally here.

You find the best teas and scented candles Suzanne! I tried a new tea this week - a ginger and peach black tea - it's delicious!

Oh a storm coming - it makes me feel cozy thinking about it. I love them - as long as no one is out on the road.

There's nothing like friends who encourage - and it's not hard to see that you are that kind of friend too.

Happy weekend!

Wow, a blizzard already? We're hearing mumblings about some snow but nothing to head to the store for. Your tea and a good book sounds so inviting. I'll have to do a search on that candle scent. It sounds great. Stay warm and safe.

love your list this week! I've been enjoying Cinnamon Stick candle and Balsam (of course!!). And there is NOTHING like getting together with old friends...hope you have a wonderful weekend. I will be back with my fave five things next week....

You hit it on the spot, Susanne...There is nothing more valuable than spending time with friends who encourage you.
I'm scared to face that blizzard you are talking about....
When it's cold your way...we get that chilly northeasterly winds right through our farmlands...We're already getting ready for the blast.
We just need to keep drinking that special Christmas tea.

Sorry I'm late, but I'm here!

Glad you had friends to support you at your party!

I, too love the Christmas scents of candles....where do you find the Canadiana scent? Who makes it?

Jean Stockdale said...

I also love encouraging friendships. Sip your tea and have a glorious Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Savior!

It's always good to stop by even if I'm a bit late, but it looks like you value friendships. That's the most important.
Thanks again for hosting this.
When can we have some tea together?
