Getting down this baby would be a snap, but coming back up would seriously do me harm. So we chose the only other option and drove down. This pic was taken in the early spring and every thing was quite brown still. After some good rain, you'll see how lovely and green it all is now.
Before we even started I figured I better make a little visit to the fort's powder room (yes, we have our very own RCMP fort) but was greeted with this:
Back to the bike tour of the river bottom. As you can tell I brought my camera along. I love taking pictures down here. There so many gorgeous things and lots and lots of contrasts. Which is what I love the most. Love to take pictures of contrasts. So I had my eyes peeled. And I took lots of pics. Like this:
And this one:
And maybe one or two of these:
As a result of all my snappying away, Hubby was doing a lot of this:
Praise God for a patient man!

SO PRETTY! what a great way to spend your day! I wish I lived closer...A LOT closer because I would be there with you. I love riding my bike in beautiful scenery.
Such great pics too.
What a great weekend and beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing
Lovely scenery. No wonder you wanted to be there. Seems God has given lovely weather to many areas. I'm hearing praises from many for the weather. Lately, we too have been having some "perfect" summer days. How I thank God.
"Praise God for a Patient Man." Amen!
I'm thankful for a patient hubs too :)
LOL @ the sign! I'm with you -- when ya gotta go, ya gotta go.
Those are great pictures. And I love your last line.
It all sounds perfect to me. We haven't ridden bikes in ages. It is so incredibly hot here, we just don't have the heart to even begin.
The pictures are just beautiful.
What a glorious day and some great pictures to remember it by :)
The hubbies learn very quickly, about us bloggers and our cameras. I think Rob's afraid to even eat his dinner without asking, "Do you need a photo of this hunk of meatloaf?"
Even going DOWN that path on a bike would do me in. Coming back up would definitely be fatal. What a nice way to spend a beautiful day.
Ah yes husbands of bloggers have to be quite patient. Love the pictures Susanne!!
Always love your pictures!
What lovely things you got to see as you enjoy that gorgeous weather! Now, I fully expect the next post to be about the unseasonable blizzard that came through....
How lovely Susanne,I'm glad that you took the camera along.
