When Kelsey Worthington was picking up a Starbucks for her condescending boss she was unfortunately hit by a car. Little does she know that this event will change her life in more ways than one. When she wakes up in the hospital she realizes she is in a room next to none other than super successful New York business woman Georgina Tate, who is there for kidney dialysis. And Georgina is none too happy about it. Georgina and Kelsey have a lot in common and yet are so different with a huge age difference and a life of very different experiences. Georgina gave up everything to get where she is, but was it truly worth it? While they are laid up and getting on each other's nerves Kelsey starts to re-examine where her own life is, realizing she is wasting her time on a job that isn't what she really wants and stuff that isn't important to her. Georgina, too has her regrets and would never admit them, but Kelsey's curiosity and talent of asking the right questions starts to break down Georgina's defenses. In a moment of Georgina's wall being down, Kelsey convinces her take take a summer of yes road trip with her, in Georgina's vintage car, no less. So starts a summer where both women find the courage to confront things in their lives but can they make the changes their hearts desire.
This was a fun summer read. Yes, I am that behind in writing the review. A fun story perfect for a summer read. It had engaging banter, serious moments, and a sweet, clean romance. There were laugh out loud moments along with tender and insightful parts as the pair went on their journey to self-discovery. The story touches on love, family, forgiveness, saying yes to the best things in life and taking your second chances when they come around.
I gave it a 9.5 out of 10

I'm relatively new to Courtney Walsh and have seen this book at my library. Most of what I've read includes fun back-and-forth. Thanks for the review!
