I have really been enjoying participating in the Chantel's Read Your Bookshelf Challenge. It is getting books off my shelves read, both backlist and newly purchased. As of right now, other than the new Charles Martin book which is the last in a 3 part series, I am on a book buying ban until I've read through all my purchases of the last couple of years. This challenge is really helping with that. It's fun to go through all my books and find what fits each monthly reading prompt and then still have mood reading flexibility within that. June's prompt is "A book with a book on the cover". I knew I had a couple but turns out I have more than I thought. I also picked books that had anything to do with a book, such as the word "librarian" in the title just to add even more options.

Wow, you have some good reading possibilities for May. I have some of those same books on my "to read" shelf so I will be excited to see what you think of them. Right now, I am just finishing up a Christian non-fiction and I am also reading Signs and Wonders by Philip Gulley. Both are very good. See you again soon!
I read The Words Between Us a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. I've seen The Last Bookshop in London and wondered about it. I'm looking forward to your impressions.
I'm planning to listen to Once Upon a Wardrobe as soon as I finish my current audiobook. I've been holding off on it while I worked on my Back to the Classics challenge, but now I am rewarding myself. :-) I'm also reading C. S. Lewis' The Four Loves.
Dave, Courtney and I all read The 13th Tale during our very last week of camping as a family in 2008. It was on Courtney's freshmen advanced English Lit summer reading list. IT IS GREAT! then a few years later Claire read it. A story in a story...it's SO GOOD! I think i reviewed it too on my blog!
I almost picked up The Book of Lost Names and then went with something else. I 'm currently reading two non fiction books (an adirondack firetower history one and a Christian one about our addictions to our smartphones) and the novel I just started is called THe Nature of Fragile Things and it's SO GOOD so far. I love reading.
My reading list for this year is just pathetic. I'm not sure why I can't seem to settle in. I do love the idea of the Read Your Bookshelf Challenge, and I like to see what you come up with. So many titles that look SO good. I checked out two audio books from the library for an upcoming road trip. Hoping that will get me back on the book wagon.
