Friday's Fave Five #519

Good morning, everyone and welcome to Friday's Fave Five.  Hopefully you are all staying warm where you are and may you be able to see the beauty in the wintery storm.  Please join us as we look back over the week and find our blessings and share five of them.

~foggy mornings~ even though some would find it grey, dull and cold I find beauty in the fog.  I speaks to me of calmness and peacefulness.  It makes me want to cozy up with a warm drink and a good book.

~sharing opportunity~ this past Sunday my fellow Operation Christmas Child Costa Rica team member and I were able to share with the people at church about our upcoming trip.  So exciting to be able to let them know and request their prayers and support!  Only 46 more days to go!

~big progress~ I've been doing a little (well, actually a big) decluttering project and though at times it's hard I have made great progress.  I do a whole post on it in the very near future when I actually finish it up.  But the progress has been exciting, well at least for me, and motivating and therapeutic.  Feels so good!

~finding treasures~ While doing the decluttering I've found some treasures from my kid's artwork when they were small.  This provided some great joy and some big laughs.  I must have been having a frazzled day when my daughter drew this one of, I'm assuming, me.  LOL.

~workout partner~ my friend and I have not worked out together since before Christmas and we finally were able to do it once again this last week.  I had forgotten how much fun it is when you have someone alongside with you.  The time goes so much faster!  Friends with common interests and goals and who cheer you on are a real blessing!

What were your favorite blessings from the past week?

The fog is so pretty. I agree, it is peaceful, as long as it doesn't last too long. The picture by your daughter is hysterical! There seems to be a lot of decluttering going on in Blogland these days. I'm craving order, too, and even though it isn't spring, I'm ready for a good cleaning. You must be soooo excited for your trip!

Good morning, lol ! Here it's almost supper time !! Fog for me is too humid and it's difficult to breath ! You are a good girl decluttering your home, I always say "I will do it tomorrow" and I think that's 2 years ago !

How fun to have a work out buddy. My work out buddy when on the treadmill is Netflix. Hahha

I love going through closets!! I'll be doing that during my February break.

The fog is very interesting but I don't like driving in it. I like looking out a stationary window to see it. Love the artwork you found from your daughter, fun. It's a lot easier to keep going with someone beside you for sure. I need to put some effort into more decluttering. Hope you have a peaceful weekend.

What fun it must have been to share about the OCC trip! I'm looking forward to hearing about it! I was just thinking how good it feels to declutter, sort, and organize. And it often yields great finds like that cute picture. My husband and I were just talking about changes in our schedule and how we can get workouts back in.

I am glad to find another fog lover! I, too, enjoy it greatly.

I'm in the process of doing the decluttering and thorough deep cleaning projects, too, Susanne. And it really is motivating and therapeutic. When I finish one area it just makes me excited to move on to the next project.

I'm so excited for you to take that Operation Christmas Child trip!

I love to declutter and do it regularly. (Is there something wrong with me?? LOL) It is therapeutic and satisfying about having an orderly and uncluttered living space.

We've had some foggy mornings lately and are expecting several more rainy and foggy days starting tomorrow.

Happy weekend!

Actually, I like snuggling w a book and warm drink whether it’s foggy or rainy or windy or dark or sunny outside :-)
