Friday's Fave Five #461

Hi everyone.  Welcome to Friday's Fave Five.  Time to look back at this super busy week, pause and reflect on the blessings that was in amongst the busy.  And to be grateful.  Please join us.

~Ladies Christmas Party~  The original date for my ladies bible study Christmas party was cancelled because I was sick so this past Monday was the new date.  At first I wasn't looking forward to it.  I always host it at my house and after working all day it is a bit of organizing and work and I was still battling fatigue.  But it came and once that first lady arrived it sparked some energy and it turned out to be a lot of fun, as usual.  I so appreciate all the ladies who come to this group and our little party is always a highlight and I'm so glad it wasn't cancelled entirely this year.

~wrapping paper with a grid~  I cannot be more thankful for wrapping paper that has a grid on the back to help straight line cutting challenged people like myself!  It made the job so much easier and therefore so much more enjoyable.

~those last few gifts bought~  I've been about 2 weeks behind from being sick and tonight I do believe I finished off the last little bit of gifts.  I am so thankful that is done and most of it is wrapped.  And right on time too, as my out of town kids all arrive today!

~haircut and foils~  I squeaked in an appointment this week and it feels great to have a nice cut and color for Christmas.  And bonus, it was paid for by my hubby as one of my Christmas gifts as per my request.

~visit from a former dayhome family~  One of my family's who was with me for over 5 years popped by with some homemade treats and stayed for a visit the other day.  What a blessing that was.  I really, really miss them and it was such a nice thing for them to do.

What were your blessings this week?

I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!  Thank you for being a part of FFF and joining with me each week.  I count you all as part of my blessings.   Enjoy your family and friends this holiday season and may you joyfully celebrate God's greatest gift to all mankind, Jesus!

It's never a good time to be sick, but it's especially hard during December. Glad you're doing better and the Christmas party was able to go on. The ladies Christmas party has always been one of my favorite events, but since we're between churches just now, I missed out on it this year.

I love the grids on the back of wrapping paper, too! I can't cut a straight line to save my life, so that helps immensely.

I kept thinking we were done with gifts, but then kept remembering things I needed to get. But I am done now except for a couple of gift cards to pick up while I'm out this morning.

I just took a good look in the mirror yesterday and wished I had made time for a haircut this week. Glad you got one in!

How nice for your former dayhome family to come visit!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!

so glad you are on the mend Susanne! It's tough being ill in the holiday season.

YAY for new cuts and color and for the small group Xmas party working out. My group meets at my house since I'm the leader so it made sense to do the party here but everyone helped out and brought a dish to share...and then it ended up only being 4 of us due to a couple of ladies having the stomach flu!!

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY......

see you next Friday!!

Good to feel better now!

How sweet to have that family stop by and visit. Isn't it great to see how those littles are growing up but are still sweet?

Haircut for Christmas! It feels great to know you look your best for all those Christmas photos :)

Merry Merry Happy Happy Christmas to you!

So glad you're on the mend Susanne!. It's hard to be sick when there are so many things to take care of.

I've had computer troubles - my new laptop arrived and I got it all set up but ended up having to reinstall Windows on it - so many hours on the phone talking with techs. But I'm all set now and really enjoying it.

You're ahead of me with wrapping - I had hoped to get it done this week but I've been babysitting the twins! Oh well - I still have time - the kids won't be here til Christmas Eve.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas with your family. Many blessings! xxoo

I, too, am very thankful for wrapping paper with grids on it. So helpful!

How nice that your former dayhome family took the time to visit. Times like that are very special.

I had planned to join you ladies yesterday, but I had no internet yesterday. Very frustrating! Oh well, at least 99% of the time it works!

The merriest of Christmases to you, Susanne!

So glad you were blessed in spite of the extra work readying for the ladies' event. And that you are feeling better! And you even managed to get all the last minute things done. When I was in Bible Study Fellowship, we frequently prayed for "stretched time"-- sounds like you got some of that just in time!
