Friday's Fave Five #268

Welcome everyone to Friday's Fave Five!  Once again we get together and share our 5 favorite blessings from out week.  Sometimes they are easy to find, sometimes a bit tougher but it is always a good exercise to practice.  Please join in!

1.  My new salad dressing obsession.  Boccalino Lemon Pepper Dressing.  This stuff has been making me eat a whole lot of salad lately.  Made right here in Alberta in the Rocky Mountains.  Don't know if you can get it outside of Alberta yet, but I found mine at Safeway.  Yummy!

2.  Affectionate cat of mine.  Every evening my sweet cat comes to sit and cuddle and purr.  I just love this show of affection from an animal species who is quite independent and can be standoffish.  Not my lovely kitty.  I'm so thankful for the affection from my furry friend.

3.  Smiles greeting me when I come home.  From my other furball buddy.  Yes, my sweet dog, smiles at us to greet us when we come home.  I've tried to take a picture but can never capture it.  It's a sweet lopsided grin.  Where he learned to do that I'll never know.  But it's a heartwarming thing!

4.   Attending a baby shower.   We had the opportunity to bless a sweet young mom and her precious little girl the other night.  I always love attending these.  Getting together with other women, oohing and aahing over the little one, seeing the sweet gifts. and knowing that we've made a young mother and her child feel loved and special is such a great thing.

5.  4 wheel drive.  With all the snow this year, I've really been appreciating 4 wheel drive in my vehicle.  It has an auto function that goes between 2 and 4 wheels automatically as the need arises so I don't burn too much gas always having it in 4 if it's not necessary.  It just goes down the residential streets that don't get grated.  It just makes for a bit less of a stressful drive in thick snow conditions.

What have you been thankful for this week?

Love that combination of lemon and pepper ;-) And also that combo of sweet and affection furballs.

I'm sure you all were an encouragement to the young mom.

Your kitty just looks like a twin to my cat Pookie ! A cat's purring is so relaxing ! I haven't seen a snowflake yet, it's still too warm for the season. We probably will have winter in May !

Animal friends are the best! Someday maybe I'll convince The Professor that we NEED a kitty.

I'm glad you're blessed with 4 wheel drive. Anything to help you stay safe on the roads this winter...

My oldest would love your kitty and my youngest would love the dog. I'm not a pet lover but would love to own a horse!! Lol!! That dressing looks delish but I'm guessing it isn't in my area...I'll look though as I'm heading to market after work today😄 how awesome that you were able to bless that new mom and her precious baby. Enjoy your weekend!

I have never driven in snow, but I'm sure that a 4WD makes it easier. Your pets are so cute! Baby showers and babies--always fun!

Your animal buddies look so sweet! I love getting together for things like showers...my life has been filled with b-o-y-s. I do love them, but sometimes you need to be with other ladies! Hope you have a great week!

I don't have any furbabies anymore, but I do enjoy petting and loving on those my friends are owned by. They really do bring a special type of joy.

I am not much of a salad eater. I bet I would enjoy this lemon pepper dressing though. My store might not carry it, but I bet there would be something there to tempt my taste-buds.

Have a safe and warm weekend, Susanne.

Oooo, love your precious fur babies! :o) There is something so calming about a sweet, purr-filled kitty snuggle.

I do enjoy all your books reviews- you're such a well rounded reader! Excited to hear what you think of Malcolm Gladwell's new book. I haven't read it yet, but am a fan of his writing and recently read an article in Relevant Magazine about his faith. (http://www.relevantmagazine.com/culture/books/how-i-rediscovered-faith)

My d-i-l loves a lemon and pepper combo - I'll have to tell her about that salad dressing.

I would guess four wheel drives would be pretty essential there. Glad to know yours operates automatically - that's a big help.

What sweet pets!

I enjoy baby showers, too.

I had no idea you are in Alberta! We're neighbours - I live in BC. Originally from the Deep South, but God moved us to Canada & we love it!

I loved seeing your fur babies! And baby showers are so much fun!

That salad dressing looks very good and refreshing. If anyone needs 4 wheel drive it's people in your area and further east! I'm glad you have it and feel safer on your snowy roads!

Susan (@Fruitful Words): One of the reasons I like a good salad is because of the dressing on it. That boring lettuce is after all only a vehicle to get that good dressing to my tastebuds, right?
