I have another book I must tell you about. I don't know what God is doing in me but it seems I seem to be picking a lot of stories, that unknowingly when I choose them, turn out to be stories of redemption and forgiveness. I had no idea when I chose this book what it's theme would be, the back cover certainly didn't make me think that. But the description of the story drew me so I picked it up. I'd never heard of or read this author before so knew nothing about his style. I think it might be lots of confirmation of stuff we are learning in ladies bible study with the book on forgiveness that we're studying. This one totally fit the theme. I think this might go down as one of the best books I've ever read. The writing was beautiful. The story absolutely drawing me in, drawing out tons of emotion. It's funny, as I read it I could totally see a movie being made of it, and could actually hear certain actors voices put to the characters as I read them. For a more indepth review of this book, check out my book blog and scroll down to #9 "Wrapped in Rain".
Other books I've reviewed lately on said book blog:
"Another Dawn" by Kathryn Cushman - #7. Another great read about how the decisions we make affects more than just ourselves and again learning to forgive.
"The Power of Prayer to Change Your Marriage" by Stormie Omaritan - #8. Very good teaching on issues that can tear marriages apart and how to pray specifically for those issues.
