It's Friday's Fave Five time! Take a moment and reflect on the past week and take notice of your blessings over the week. Sometimes they are obvious and sometimes we need to look a little deeper. May you feel uplifted when you look for yours. If you need the details to posting and linking you may go here. but make sure you come back! :v)
1. My unexpected day off in the middle of the week. So nice to have that when it was least expected. I did a little work, had a little fun, and a bit of relaxing.
2. Nestea Refridgereated Iced Tea. The kind you buy in the cooler. Real tea, real lemon, no preservatives. This is the first time I've ever bought iced tea like this and definitely really good. Very refreshing and I think I may have spoiled myself from going back to the powdered stuff.
3. New towels. It just feels really nice to have a new set.
4. Long walks with the dog. I really enjoy getting out and taking the pooch for a walk. He gets me out in the fresh air and moving. And he'll go forever, if I let him decide. Of course, after a long walk, he does like his naps too. This is in the hotel a couple weeks ago after a long walk around a lake. I think he thought he was in heaven with all those pillows. He makes me smile.
5. Free meal surprise. Saturday we celebrated my mom's birthday by taking her to our favorite restaurant because we knew they made the dish that she was wanting. The restaurant was busy, but we were having fun and we slightly noticed that it was taking a little longer than usual but we were busy in discussion. It was a real surprise to find out that they gave us a gift certificate that covered the cost of my meal because there was a mix up with it and that's what the delay was. Great meal, great company and now I get to go back and eat free. I love that restaurant!
What were your favorites? Please join us as we celebrate our five favorite blessings from the week!

Love those middle-of-the-week-free-days. And you got so much accomplished, too! Glad you have good weather for walking the dog -- he looks pretty happy :-)
The name of the restaurant always made us laugh when we were in the States, we said that Mr. G owned them secretely because it his name !
The iced tea sounds good. It's wonderful to see that the restaurant had great customer service. Have a blessed weekend!
Wish that restuarant would move east - what great service! A belated Happy Birthday wish to your mom!
I always drink the powdered ice tea too - and now, you've probably spoiled me as well :) We should probably learn to make it like the Southerners!
Your doggie sure looks comfortable - our dog loves to go for walks as well and would go forever - if I could keep up!
Happy weekend Susanne - and thanks again for hosting fff!
Awesome on the free meal! that restaurant looks like a place Dave & I would enjoy! the dog is adorable...soon as claire wakes up, I'll have to show her...she loves little pups! yay for middle of the week days off and for fresh new towels! I tried that tea and although i LOVE making their brand from the powdered mix, for some reason I didn't like it in this form....tasted bitter to me...glad you like it! Have a blessed weekend and enjoy some sun!
Hurray for extra days off! That's always a special treat! My Big Boy likes to see photos of "puppies" so I will show him yours :)
An unexpected day off sounds nice.
I will definitely give this ice tea a try.
Loved the pic of your pooch! Woo Hoo Free meal....need I say more
I'll have to tell my son and daughter-in-law about that iced tea. They love to drink it but not make it.
That is really great of that restaurant to offer a certificate for delayed service and a mix-up! Would that they all did that! Sadly, it doesn't look like they have Ricky's here in the States.
I love new towels except that they seem to get really fuzzy the first few times they're washed. Do you have that happen? Maybe I am buying the wrong towels.
Love an unexpected day off!
I must try that tea!
You must be having cool weather if you're taking long walks! Nice!
Love that free meal and those middle of the week free days.
It's so good to be back -- and to be in community with my FFF friends.
What a sweet pooch! There are few things as wonderful as pup happily exhausted by a long walk. :o) Ricky's looks like a fun place to go for time with family and friends! :o) Ooo... a day off IS a blessing!!
Dog walking is a fav of mine too. I miss walking with my Chip - he is now 19, blind, deaf and arthritic. And he still loves to sleep amidst a bunch of pillows.
New towels freshly washed and dried. Heavenly!
Oh yes, new towels. There is something very special about a fresh, soft, new towel. I've never seen that iced tea in the stores -- will have to watch for it.
I'll have to look for the iced tea here. Iced tea is my favorite summer drink.
A day off makes the whole week more special!
Extra time to enjoy your evening out and a free dinner, too? That's great! And a day off is always welcomed.
Your dog is so cute. :)
