Friday's Fave Five #128

Hi everyone!  Welcome to Friday's Fave Five.  It's time to look back over our week's no matter what they have been like, good or bad, and find five shining moments that blessed us.  If you're new you can go to the link in the sidebar and get the guidelines and then just join right in!

For me, it's been all about seeking the small things that bring comfort this week:

1.  Kind words from friends that uplift and encourage.  I can never take these for granted.  I don't know what I would do without these words.

2.  A great ladies group at my bible study.  Even though we are extremely different God has meshed our hearts together and I love how freely we can ask questions and give thoughts without being judged.  It's a great group of ladies that are there for each other when one has a need, too.

3. A great book to curl up with when it's freezing outside.  I love being able to just grab a throw blanket and curl up with a great story when it's all blustery and cold outside.

4.  A nice warm duvet and cover on the bed for the same reason.  When it's cold out there is nothing like getting under a big, comfy, warm duvet especially as we keep the bedroom vents shut during the night.  It's toasty warm in no time.

5.  Coffee.  I have so loved my coffee first thing in the morning this week for some reason.  Can't explain it.  It has gone down real good this week.

What have your favorites, big or small, been?  If you do a post please link on so that we can come and visit you!

As I'm brewing my morning coffee, I can totally relate to that favorite! I also appreciate encouraging words from friends and my Bible study group.

Keep keeping warm! :)

it's a cold, rainy day here in NY. I'm feeling that warm coffee, duvet cover, good book love. I'm so glad you have good friends with kind words.

Oh, and I'm sorry. Please remove my first entry. It has the wrong permalink. (I'm so NOT a morning person!)

Except for the coffee, I love all your favorites too. :-)

Sorry I messed up on Mr. Linky this morning (and I AM a morning person. ha). If you don't mind deleting my #4 that says "Forgive me @ Lisa Notes" I'd appreciate it. I hit enter too quickly.

Words, friends, warmth -- love it! I love crawling under the warm blankets, too. And there's nothing more uplifting than great words and a close group of friends.

Have a great week ahead!

That all sounds fabulous Susanne. Encouragement is such a good thing! I'm having my first cuppa right now while I check in! Hope you can stay cozy and read this weekend!

So glad you have good friends who uplift and encourage. I'm in a season where I don't have any close, close friends. :-(

Thanks for hosting this opportunity to be intentionally thankful. ;-)

Kind words are always appreciated. It's so sad that more aren't shared. I am going to make sure that I am intentionally kind all day. (I tend to be super focused and absent-minded).

Glad it has been a good week for you, Susanna.

For me too the best moment in the morning is my cup of coffee and reading emails, the catastrophe News I keep for the evening ! There is nothing enjoyable for the moment !

I don't think there's been a single morning in the past year(!) that I haven't felt the same way about my coffee. You are truly blessed to have the friends and Bible study group that you do. And the snuggly blankies, too.

I can totally relate to so many of these! And, like Melissa, as I'm just about to have my first cup of coffee, I can definitely relate to that this morning! Thank you for hosting and have a lovely weekend.

What wonderful FFF's you have this week. It amazes me how blessed we are. Sometimes we don't look for it though.

One of my favorite things is coffee in the morning. I love to drink it while I read all of the great blogs. It is a great way to start the morning.

Enjoy your weekend.

Nothing like that first cup of coffee early in the morning and kind words from a friend.

We're on the same wavelength (surprised?) My coffee has tasted so good these past two days, now that I have my sense of taste back!

I love my spiritual book club, for the same reasons. To question and search without being judged. There's such comfort in that.

I'm glad you found lots of grace in your week, Susanne.

Just reading through your list makes me feel all warm and cozy. Despite the snow on the ground outside! (Or might to spite it?)

I can identify with all of these! I don't drink coffee much any more, but when I do it really hits the spot.

Coffee in the morning and a great book to read when it's cold outside...ahh how relaxing :)! "Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless." (~Mother Teresa)

Oh, I love all your comfort items! I've been feeling especially grateful as well this week for the relationships I have at church, especially in my Bible study groups.

EVERY single one of these are considered favorites in my book also. SO glad you got to experience them ALL in one week!

Having support from a group of women is such a blessing.
Coffee, a good book and a cozy blanket that's a good place to be!
Enjoy your weekend!
