My Bullet Thoughts

I can't seem to put together a post this week.  My brain does not want to think in full thoughts or paragraphs.  So for your enjoyment (ha!) here is what's bouncing around in the caverns of my brain today.

  • I'm tired!
  • I need fresh air!
  • The chinook blew in this week.
  • It's been like a hurricane outside for 4 days now.
  • This morning the sky was flaming red.
  • "Red sky at night, sailor's delight.  Red sky in morning, sailor's warning".  Absolutely true!
  • It's going to be another wickedly windy day.
  • It's hard to get fresh air when the wind is blowing so hard it takes your breath away. Literally.
  • My heart is breaking for Hubby's mom.  And Hubby.
  • Strokes are from the pit of hell.
  • What would we do without God to lean on and draw strength from in hard times.
  • I'm about 5 days behind on my bible reading plan now
  • I am determined to get caught up
  • I want this to be the year I actually do this thing
  • That is, read through the bible in a year
  • I find myself rereading the same verses over and over because it's hard to focus this week
  • Sigh.
  • I hate Hubby's new shift at work
  • I feel like I rarely see him
  • We especially miss him at the dinner table
  • I'm planning for a date time this weekend
  • I love that the dog makes me laugh and lightens it up around here
  • He doesn't like that I'm watching the Dog Whisperer (LOL)
  • Don't forget to join in on Fave Fives tomorrow!

Oye! Praying for some relief and a rainbow to come your way. I'll continue to pray for your dear MIL. Must be so frustratingly hard...

Susanne, I have days, weeks, months like that too. It's hard to gather your thoughts sometimes. I have never finished a Bible reading plan for one year, so I just gave up and read it on my own each morning, at my own pace. Good luck on finishing it!

I am so sorry for your mother-in-law. Is she doing any better? Hope those winds calm down soon -- they sound awful.

I'll pray for your hubby and MiL! I'm just tired of slushy snow and temps below 40 degrees.....our wind won't begin until March...any wind with significance which sounds like your kind! Just keep pressing in for the Bible reading...YOU WILL DO IT!! be encouraged...I'm also going thru this year (chronologically) and got 2 days behind last week. but glory to God...I caught up while dinner was in the oven last evening :) Hugs to you and see ya for the FFF...i'll be posting mine tonite I think...

Just checking in with you to see how things are going. I do hope your mom-in-law is doing better, and you get some together time this weekend.

Take care, Susanne. Praying for you.

As your chinook blows, our Santa Anas have been blowing, too. I'm sorry about the stress of your MIL. God is faithful. See ya tomorrow :-)

It looks as if you are fully in the "winter blues" ! Then everything is harder to take.

I hear it in the read of your blog. I hope and pray you find some peace. I wrote about January blahs on Monday and I think it is a place we all get to from time to time.
Reading is going to help. You could put a picture at the dinner table, I know that sounds odd but I do that whenever I'm missing my daughter who is away. I hope you get your date night and have fun.

Oh dear Susanne - praying for you right now - and for your dear MIL and hubby - that God will surround you all with such a sweet sense of His loving care.

I know you intend to put a FFF and I'm guessing that your time is probably set to pm instead of am - I've done the same. Anyway here's my link

I'm off to town on a sunny Island day - the first time out since I've been sick. it feels good.

Sending hugs and love from the other side of the country.

Sounds like you're in survival mode. Not an easy place to be. I'm sorry your MIL isn't doing better. So hard.

Good luck this week. I hope your burdens lighten.

Hope nothing serious happened, because there is still no Linky thing and it's already late afternoon.
