Oh no! The horror of it all! This is what I found this weekend:
Panic ensued. The fridge was combed for any remnants of butter and pecans, the cupboards ransacked for all chocolate chips available. The fry pan and baking pan located.
C'mon, batch #4, hurry up and set. This waiting is making me antsy!
Ahhh. All is right now at Living to Tell. The joy has been found. Christmas may go on. Carry on, people.
Disclaimer: This toffee is highly addicting. Christmas will never be the same without it once you make it. Living to Tell the Story (and I'm sure Big Mama) takes no responsibility for what happens after you make your first batch. Once you take your first bite, you are on your own!

Sigh.
I know just what you mean, Susanne. I'm making a batch (similar) tonight for my Mom. Mom. Okay? For Mom.
This looks yummy. I've already had to replenish one of our favorite cookies. That's what I get for making just a single batch the first time!
I hope you have the merriest Christmas ever, Susanne!
Oh my goodness, that looks so VERY dangerous....to my waistline. Wait?! What waistline? It disappeared long ago. LOL
Okay, I divert. That looks absolutely scrumptious! YUM!!
Hmmm. Will I take the plunge and make that tomorrow? Time will tell and then the waistband will tell. It looks great Susanne.
Oh yum - my hips thank you!
You know we will have to try this don't you? With all this Joy passing by my lips I may have to have a Joy-less January ; ) Thanks for sharing some of Christmas Joy Susanne,
Merry Christmas,
Dana
Oh my goodness! And I mean GOODNESS.
yum.
=)
Oh wow.....now THIS I must make before Saturday....lol....my dentist is gonna kill me.....
Hey...have a question for ya...you planning on doing a book review of the 2nd book you show on your sidebar? the one about it's no secret? i saw that on the shelf at our local christian store but didn't have time to browse thru it...is it good, and do you recommend it? would it be ok for a bible study/small group or better as a personal devo book? thanks for your thots!
Oh gosh, that looks so delicious. My dad used to make homemade toffee and that brings back so many memories for me. YUM!
Thanks for visiting my blog as well. Your comments were so kind!
That looks so good. We have so much sugar in the house already -- but that does look tempting!
Yum! I will have to try your recipe. I attempted to make toffee a few weeks ago...but the chocolate completely separated from the toffee...so weird! Seems like when I use the candy thermometer I always have trouble!
Visiting from Dana's link party!
thank you?
*grin*
you know I am going to make it . . .
Oh, that does look addicting! I'm the same with peppermint fudge!
Thank heavens I'm visiting Dana's post late.
Or else I would have definitely made this amazing look candy...
...and then told my family about it...
...and then eaten the whole pan...
...and then had to make another pan so they wouldn't know that I ate the first pan...
...and then I'd have to eat two more pieces of the second pan so that they wouldn't suspect that I had devoured the first one by myself...
...and then...
...my jeans would be even tighter than they are today.
So...
All I can say is, I haven't eaten any homemade goodies since 7 pm yesterday so perhaps making just one recipe of this wouldn't really hurt that much!
What a delicious link to Dana's.
I can see this would be highly addictive.
