Friday's Fave Five #98

Hello and welcome to Friday's Fave Fives! Are you ready to share you five favorite moments from your last week? Those things that blessed you, made you smile or feel good inside? Whether it's a easy or a bit tougher to find them, there are moments that encourage us if we but take the time to look. Please join us and if you need more details there is a link in the sidebar for that. Then come on back and join right in!

1. This:
Dipped in this:
My new favororite snack. Yummy. My bloggy friend Faith loves nutella and I don't know if she's ever mentioned to dip pretzels into it or if I thought of all by my lonesome, but discover it this week I did.

2. Good deals at yard sales.
I've been looking in the stores for a small chest of drawers for my spare bedroom. And I can't believe what they want to charge for a bunch of pressboard held together with staples. And then I have to assemble most of it myself, to boot. Well I stopped at few yard sales last Saturday on my way somewhere and I found a small chest of four drawers and they took $15 for it. I nabbed it. Much better that $100.

3. Peaches. Fresh, juicy peaches. The peaches are out at the grocer's and we bought this year's first batch. So good. I love when they get a little more local than "Chile" because they aren't so hard when you buy them and the flavor is so much more intense.

4. Snagging tickets for the day and time we want to go see Body Worlds in the big city. We wanted to go on a certain day at a certain time and I'm really glad we got the tickets to those. That way we can also take my oldest, who'll be visiting to the big, new mall which she's never been to and have lunch at a fave restaurant that we don't have in our own city. Son wants to be a paramedic so he's really looking forward to seeing the exhibit.

5. Cleaning the spare room. What?! Cleaning? Yes, because my oldest is coming home for two weeks tomorrow so cleaning the room that will be hers is a joy! I figured she might like somewhere to lay her head at night, so I cleared off the top of the bed and thinking she might like to put her bags down somewhere or maybe, like, walk around, I took out all the dayhome paraphenelia that seems to build up in there. Hubby was under strict orders to remove the cans of paint we've been using and painting trays out of there too! Fresh, clean sheets on the bed and it's waiting just for her.

What were your favorites for the week? If you've shared in a post, then link on up and we'll come around a give you a visit!

Fresh peaches are wonderful! We haven't had any good ones yet this season.

What a wonderful reason to clean! Enjoy your visit!

I’ve heard of nutella, but never tried it. Looks like I should! I love a good yard sale find—you definitely got a bargain. The Body World exhibit sounds so cool. You cleaned the spare room? I didn’t know we were supposed to do that. Ha. Glad you’ll have your oldest home soon to enjoy it with.

Oooh, pretzels and Nutella sounds so good -- I may have to try that!

Cleaning is great when you have a reason like that, isn't it? How fun, and what a sense of accomplishment when you get it done, too. Do enjoy your daughter!

Happy weekend. (I see you're nearing FFF post #100!)

I am hoping to see Body Worlds one of these days, I keep hearing good things about it.

Pretzels and nutella sounds great! Just yesterday I resisted buying nutella, I particularly like it with bananas.

I decided not to clean this summer, only what is really necessary, lol ! I looked for a little camping chair (foldable) and had the same surprise as you, soooo expensive ! 25 € (little more in $ !) crazy !!

I LOVE nutella. Have to not keep it in the house since it is SO easy to find things to dip in it...it gets dangerous!

YAY!!! you tried Nutella. Now you will be hooked, I guarantee it! believe it or not, my dancer girl hates it but of course you know that my teenager and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. NO..I haven't dipped pretzels into it...I go for the pecan/wheat crackers or whatever fruit i have lying around. Fresh Peaches are the best!! (and no....that is one fruit I don't dip in to nutella...too juicy)
Have fun with your oldest daughter visiting...yay for cleaned out rooms!

Hmm... nutella and pretzels ... sounds good.

I should have written about peaches because I just got some locally grown peaches last week. Yummy!

You know I'm all about yard sales -so glad you found what you were looking for! One question: did you have to paint it? Painting furniture seems to be all the rage!

I've never been brave enough to try Nutella, but I guess it would be similar to peanut butter?

Hope you have fun with your girl and the upcoming activities! Glad you got those tickets!

A lot of the folks where I used to work loved Nutella. I was never brave enough to try it. Speaking of brave, Wow! I don't think I could see the Body Works exhibit but I can see how it would be fascinating to anyone who works in the medical field. Enjoy your time with your daughter. How lovely.

Hum, Salty and sweet at the same time, I could go for that.

I spent the morning with my little (big) girl and can't imagine what it would be like to have her for two weeks. Glad to hear.

Your lucky your peaches are in the stores right now, I'll watch for them soon.

Have a good weekend,& week.

I love Nutella and used to have it all the time until I discovered I have a very bad allergy to hazelnuts. I like finding good deals at yard sales, too :). Have fun with your family!

A fresh, juice, sweet peach is my absolute favorite fruit. We usually go peach picking, but haven't gone yet this year. I hope we don't miss it!

It is amazing what furniture goes for nowadays especially when as you mention it is only press board and staples. My oldest daughter loves Nutella I must tell about the pretzels!

Fresh juicy peaches, a good bargain and a clean spare room to anticipate your daughter's stay. I think life is good! I hope to finally get back into a normal routine after a very intense month of July. My mother's operation sounded very scary ( she's 77 and she had a tumor in her bowel) but it's behind us now and she's doing great. Life is slowly getting back to normal again for me and that's just wonderful!

You have to try a Nutella and peanut butter sandwich.

You can thank me later.
