Friday's Fave Five #41

Welcome to another week of Friday's Fave Five. I'm really appreciating the exercise is involved in making me look for the joys of each day and week. I'm not just looking back over the week on a Friday but it's starting to make me look each day for those little blessings and things that make me smile, those small blessings which God gives each day. Which is a very good exercise for me right now, indeed. If you need the details, you can check it out here.

1. Your sweet comments to yesterday's post. Thank you for being so uplifting and encouraging to me.

2. So You Think You Can Dance has started with the top 20 on Wednesday. And boy it was good. Love this show. Dare I say, better than Dancing with the Stars?! The special singer on results night I can live without, but hey, it gives me a couple minutes to load up the dishwasher.

3. Chocolate with toasted coconut. Oh yum! Found this at the grocery store and oh I have a new chocolate love.

4. A fun novel I read this week. I'm not going to say a lot right here because I'm reviewing it next week and giving a copy away. Make sure you come back at the beginning of the week. I'll just say it's a wonderful, fun summer read. And it's one of the one's in my sidebar. ;v)

5. This picture. Sorry, I just had to post it again. It makes me smile. I can hardly believe I took it.

So what made you smile this week? If you're doing a fave five post, then don't forget to sign on to Mr. Linky and let us come and visit you! Again Mr. Linky is not quite back to normal so click on the Mr. Linky logo and it will take you to the page where you can log on!

Hello, dear Susanne, here you are faithfully hosting and sharing your faves from the week. I'm glad the blue flower is back - such a sweet image! And chocolate + coconut? YUM!

I love that photo and it's worth seeing again. If you can believe this, this is the first year I have watched SYTYCD. And I will say so it is much better than DWTS. Travis turned me on to this just by his comments on DWTS. Anyway those kids are awesome. I cannot stand Mary...Muzzle please doctor!!! I didn't have room for it on my list but next week it will be there. LOL. Great list and have a wonderful FFF. Aloha

I love SYTYCD! Alas my part of Australia doesn't get the show on air :-(

Love the blue flower photo! If only I were as good a photographer as so many of my fellow bloggers are. *Sigh* It's ok, though, I enjoy all the pretty pictures everyone shares, and that's enough for me.

Here's wishing you a less stressful week!

I hadn´t seen the pic before. It´s lovely.
And a good book with chocolate covered with toasted coconut....what could be better?

I'm not a coconut fa, so you can have mine. :-)

I'll look forward to hearing about the novel next week!

I used to avoid everything with "dance" because good Baptists do that, ya know. :-) But I love the "Singing in the Rain" dance Gene Kelly did (that scene is one of my all-time movie favorites) and the graceful ballroom dances like the waltz and the foxtrot. I don't like the overtly sensual ones. This is the first time I've watched SYTYCD, and I've really enjoyed most of it. Evan is my favorite.

I love that photo and I can see why you wanted to post it again! I really enjoy the chocolate coconut combo. :0)
Blessings on you and have a fabulous weekend...

Chocolate with anything sounds good to me!

A sweet flower shot. What kind of bug is that? It almost looks blue.

Looking forward to the book you read - I got the Amish books from the library and have already finished the first one. I liked it - the second one doesn't seem to be quite as tight as the first but it's still a compelling story line. Thanks for telling me about them. I hadn't heard of that author.

hope you have a blessed weekend Suzanne - with good news right around the corner!

What a great picture! I think we all have one of those wonderful shots at least once in our lifetime...I had mine last summer. :)

Thanks Susanne!

You can post that picture every week and we'll still love it just as much. It is beautiful.

You're so right--doing this meme is a helpful way to keep focused on looking for blessings. Thank you SO much for handling it so that many people can be blessed.

OH, I do love that blue flower photo!

I've been gone for so long, it seems. I've missed so much. I read yesterday's post and can empathize with you. 2001-2002- daily trusting. I don't ever ever take a job for granted now.

That picture is awesome and I am now officially craving chocolate with toasted coconut!

My hubby and I are really enjoying "So You Think You Can Dance", too. Wasn't that tango last night something? We remarked that we couldn't see any of the stars doing a tango like that on DWTS.

What could possibly be better than DWTS!!?! Wow I better check this show out that you are talking about...that's some high praise :)

I'm so sorry to hear of the job loss - at least, that is what I've picked up from your 6 unimportant things post. Financial stress is always difficult to manage. A lack of a job is even harder. I will pray for your situation. When we've been in that place, it is always helpful to remember that GOD is our source, not our job.

Bless you and your family this week, Susanne.

And I have to put my applause in on the great photo, too! Perfect!

Your picture of the pretty blue flower and the bee is adorable. Occasionally I shock myself and take a great picture too. It's almost always an accident though. LOL

Chocolate with Coconut - yummy! Mounds (USA) and Bounty (UK) are two of my favorite candy bars.

I thought SYTYCD was good too although I haven't seen past seasons. Are they always this good right off the bat? I can't wait to see more! :-)
