Lost In Translation

"How come you always wear your baking suit?"

That is what I heard from one of my little dayhome fellas. "Whaaat?" I thought. "What's he talking about? It's the end of November and certainly not bathing suit weather. And besides even in summer I don't run around in my bathing suit at all. The neighbors would surely complain! SCAREY!"

So I asked him what he meant. "Your "baking" suit", he repeated. "You always wear your "baking" suit". As I'm looking at him with a perplexed look, a little worried at what he's telling his parents that I wear during the day, I finally clue into the translation.

So I thought I would show you my "baking" suit. But be forewarned, it's not necessarily pretty and it's certainly not something I would usually post on the world wide web. Heaven forbid! We want everyone's eyeballs to stay intact. But just this once, here's a quick peek at me in my " baking" suit.

So that got my curiosity going. What do you guys look like in your "baking" suit aka your apron? C'mon, show us your "baking" suit/apron.

I have one little apron, but I'm so proud of it because it matches my kitchen!

Baking suit -- how cute!!

I don't usually wear an apron unless I am into something really messy or dressed up -- but when I am dressed I I usually go change before cooking or get dressed after dinner so as not to spill.

Don't wear aprons usually. I probably should because baking is messy buisness!

I love it! Great idea. I don't have any aprons out, but I am going to get them out and wash them and start wearing them.

Speaking of translations, my kindergartner and I saw one of the bus drivers. I said "there's Miss Teresa." He said, "I need to tell her, Momma, that that is just wrong." I asked what. He said "Mister Eesa is not right." I laughed and laughed and laughed!

Happy Tuesday, Susanne!

That is funny. I don't wear an apron. Just throw on some old clothes. Funny how flour and other stains end up in the middle portion of my t-shirts... hmmmm...

I love you in your baking suit! And oh I'm so sorry that I missed out on this; I've been so busy in my "baking suit" that I haven't had much computer time and am just seeing this after the fact! Mine is kinda not that great, flowery and busy.
