Friday's Fave Five #11

Hello and welcome to another edition of Friday's Fave Five. If you are new you can read about it here. Everyone is welcom to join in. Don't forget to add yourself to the Mr. Linky so we can come by and read about your favorite things from your week.

Making my number 1 spot this last week has been heat. Consistent heat from my furnace to be specific. This last week our furnace has gone kaputze twice and both times we were without consistent heat for a few days. While during the nights it's okay because we can throw blankets on , during the morning hours it was getting a wee bit chilly in the house. So now that it is all fixed before the real cold comes, I'm liking my heat. And I'm liking that it's coming on when it's supposed to come on.

2. Chicken Pot Pie. Mmm, mmm, mmm. One of my favorite all time comfort foods. We happened to have it a my best friend's house for supper last weekend. Homemade even. And hers is so good. I've got to learn how to make it.

3. Fallen Leaves. I love all aspects of fall but something about fallen leaves is just comfort to me. I love the smell of them, the look of the lawn covered in gold. I love the sound of the crunch of them underneath my shoe. I love raking them and piling them as high as I can for the kids to jump into and all the laughs and giggles that go with that. Very comforting to me.

4. Oil of Olay Body Wash. I bought some for the first time when they were on sale last at Costco. Wow, I really like this stuff. Doesn't leave me dry feeling even if I don't use lotion right away.

5. A Saturday evening spent in the company of good friends. Speaks for itself.

What about you? What are your favorite things from your week? What tickled your fancy?

It's good to have heat when you live in Canada!! Glad your furnace was fixed - now if we only didn't have to pay so much to fill it :)

I've been enjoying the autumn leaves this week too. And today is a beautiful sunny day so I better get out with my camera - they aren't going to last much longer!

Enjoy your weekend Suzanne!

I know what you mean about Body Wash. I bought some Dove recently, and it works the same. Sorta like getting clean and putting on lotion at the same time. Nice.

I love the fallen leaves, too. In fact -- sometimes I go out of my way to crunch them.:-)

We haven't turned on the heat yet, but we're on the verge -- it is a bit nippy in the mornings here. Being able to push a button and have warm air come in is wonderful. I'm glad your furnace is working well now.

Hi, Susanne,
I missed Fave Friday last week because frankly, I've been feeling less than great! Allergies, of course, but that's to be understood since the weather has changed and all the leaves are falling in abundance!

Come visit my blog, I love yours, I visit it almost every day! Take care!

I've posted way earlier in the day than normal and I'm still #18! Wow, popular stuff the FFF. :) I usually try to wait until Thanksgiving before I turn my heat on, but I didn't make it this year. Glad you heater is fixed. I don't want to think of winter without a heater!

I really have grown to love this Friday's Fave Five. I even thought I would do it today, but, as often happens, I just ran out of hours in my day to sit and get it done. I'm going to try next week.
I love yours Susanne. It just warmed my heart to read them.

Blessing Susanne, I really enjoyed doing your meme, Friday's Fave Five!
You didn't say whether what I did was OK and I'm just getting back now to have time to visit. I'm sure I'll know better after visiting these.
I can't believe you already need the heat. I enjoyed your list of 5. But the Fallen Leaves would be the top of mine! It's been a long time since I had Chicken Pot Pie. And ohhh, would I enjoy some Oil of Olay. This is quite the variety!
I love your reasons the most!

Thanks so much for your visit &
encouragement! Your group seems to be a good size! Enjoy your weekend!

I love fallen leaves also. I love the smell, it brings back childhood memories of jumping in leaf piles. :)

I also love the leaves!!!

SOrry I didn't have time to get my fave 5 up but one of them was having time to just walk and enjoy the scent of woodsmoke from someone's woodstove, and the crunch of the leaves underfoot. Our nites have been crisp and clear and we are blessed to be surrounded by the Lord's beauty. Enjoy your weekend!

I'm so glad your furnace is working. I'm not sure about your area but it is getting pretty cold here. My little doggies want to wear their coats at night even though the heat is on.
I love fallen leaves too. I remember running through them on the sidewalk when coming home from school. Lots of fun to kick them and watch them fly in all directions.
I hope you are having a great week end.
Blessings

Great list, Susanne...I am loving the falling leaves, too. I took my dog for a walk today in the warm sunshine and leaves were falling onto the sidewalk all over us, kind of fairy like! :)

Sorry Susanne I guess I shouldn't have made the pictures (all of them )private but it should work ok now.
