Spring 30 Day Organizational Challenge

*UPDATE AT BOTTOM

Well, true to form when it comes to anything organizational, I'm late, I'm late for a very important date. Yes, Laura from I'm An Organizing Junkie has started her Spring 30 Day Organizational Challenge. As usual, I hummed and hawwed and let the time slip by. You know 'cause you have to be accountable when you link up to something like that. At least to yourself. And in the last one I blew it. Sigh.

But Laura, she's one smart cookie. She puts up quotes like this:

No challenge, no change
If you don't give yourself a challenge,
there can be no change,
and without change,
there can be no growth.

Now how can I ignore that. And then she cracks the whip encourages me with cute little comments like after yesterday's post. So Laura, here I am, more than a day late, and probably more than a dollar short, to sign on. Yes, it is no longer a 30 day challenge but a 20 day challenge.

I've chosen to do my laundry/storage room. It sort of became the catch all place to drop things when we were in too much of a hurry to put them away this last winter. I've also got dayhome items I'm not currently using all thrown into the mix so it is in desperate need. I can't believe I'm actually putting up pics. It's so embarassing how far I let it go.

This is the entrance to the laundry room. As you can see by all the junk lining the wall, I'm already in trouble. Ignore the laundry on the floor. That is being done, but I wasn't about to pick up all my sorted piles. Sorry.

As you can see, I desperately need Laura's kick in the pants, tough love gentle prodding, hence the bouquet I sent her yesterday. Oy Vay, just looking at that I'm having a "Calgon, take me away" moment. But I shall persevere. I shall overcome. I am woman, hear me roar.

*And just so you know what I mean about Laura's encouragement, make sure you read the comment she left me in this post. Now with someone like that in your corner cheering you on how can I person not succeed?

Oh, I so need to do this kind of thing. Just pull myself up from the bootstraps and start getting organized...somewhere...anywhere!
Good for you, Susanne!

Oh, and by the way...I did the little chick craft you posted on with my girls the day before Easter and they just loved it! :D Thank you for showing that!

Gosh you crack me up! I was giggling all the way through that.

So here is my cheer for you:

Susanne, Susanne
She is a little late
She is going to have to work fast
In order to participate

She'd better get a move on
And go with my urging
It's time to do some sorting
And plenty of purging!!!

You go girl...I'm glad you are participating :)

I agree, Susanne, she is a sweet encourager. And my, she's a poet, too. New talents uncovered all the time.

You may be late linking up, but I haven't really gotten started on my little project either.
