SWEET & SOUR BEEF
2 lbs. (approx. 1 kg) bonesless chuck
2 1/3 cup flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. marg
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 cup water
1 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
4 - 6 carrots, diagonally sliced
Cut beef into 1" cubes. Mix together flour, salt, and pepper and dredge the cubes in the mixture.
In large skillet, heat marg. and olive oil. Brown beef in heated oil. Place into crock.
Add remaining ingrediants into crock except the carrots. Stir.
Cover & cook on low for 8-9 hours or 4-5 hours on high.
Serve over cooked rice.

Oh, this one looks really good, Susanne. Beef, onions... I'm adding garlic too because... well, it just doesn't seem right without it. I can't wait to try it.
You know, I love sweet and sour pork or chicken. I truly never even thought of sweet and sour beef but whyever not. This sounds wonderful! I'm printing this one out. :-)
hmmm never thought of sweet and sour beef...I always make sweet and sour meatballs. ....
