Better Late Than Never

I think I need to get organized to get organized. Does that make sense to anyone else but me? Laura at I'm An Organizing Junkie is having a "30 Day Oranizational Challenge". And notice it started on November 4. It is now November 12 and while I had very good intentions on getting going, it just never happened. So for me it's going to be an "22 Day Organizational Challenge". You can go here for more information.

The gist of the idea is to pick a spot in your home that needs organization and work on it 15 minutes everyday for the 30 days. On December 6 you can post a picture of the nice organized space. Laura will give tips and steps to get to that point all during the month. Like here, and here. So I'm working from a deficit so I'll have to do a few days of double duty.

Anyhow, I choosing my book case in the living room and my craft room. Rather than put up a before pic now, I'm going to post before and after pics on the same day, December 6, the last day of the challenge. If you'd like to participate and link on you can go to this post. Hey, there is even a prize. If that doesn't motivate you...

Way to go, Susanne! I joined earlier last week, I just haven't gotten a blog up about it. I'm doing a bookshelf in my dining room and it's almost done!! I'm very excited! I'm excited about participating in all the challenges, etc. on blogland. Since I stay at home all the time, I don't have much contact with "the outside world". Gas is just too expensive to get out and putter around. You know?
I'll be looking forward to seeing your completed project!!
God bless you always, Susanne.

Oh, could someone come and do that for me? I would greatly appreciate it.

I just want to learn how to keep things picked up. My place just gets sooooooo cluttered, especially that catch-all counter in the kitchen.

Good for you! I'm glad you're joining in (well, kind of glad... I mean, the more people that join in, the more competition I have for the big prize... but it's okay, really). Looking forward to seeing your before and after pics! My computer armoire is coming along but I need to do a whole lot more before it will be "done."

Good luck. I am also going to try to organize something. This challenge is a good one for unorganized people like me. My problem will be getting rid of the junk. Somehow I get emotionally attached to junk. Who knows why.

It's a constant battle around our house.

But I am an organizer from WAY back, and nothing thrills me more than getting rid of STUFF and having some clear, clean, organized space.

I'm looking forward to your pics on Dec. 6th!

What, you don't spend a WHOLE DAY pulling everything out at the same time, into a huge pile in the middle of the kitchen in a raging fit of insanity? I just love Laura, don't you? She's got such good ideas - so much better than my usual method...
