Today I'm putting my big, comfy comforter back onto the bed. Gone are the flimsy blankets of summer. It's time to hang the big comforters on the deck rail and air them out and then put them onto the bed. I love it. It feels so good when the nights are cold to have that big old comforter to snuggle down under. That big 'ole comforter always brings feelings of comfort and contentment and I guess in some ways securtiy to both beloved hubby and me. (Isn't that sort of silly? I can't explain it but that's what it makes me feel). And seeing it's snowing in some parts of the province today I'm thinking today's the day to bring it on out.

Mine will be coming out later; it's too soon for us yet. But when I do, I love the coccooning into it with Mr. Right... and eventually the kids.
There is nothing better than snuggling in a warm bed, surround by the BIG comforter. We're having cold weather here, we're already at 45 degrees today and raining with snow on the way. Perfect time for a comforter :)
I have a duvet on my bed, but I'll be adding our quilt between the sheet & duvet soon. I LOVE it! I think snuggling like that must take us back to when we were babies & snuggled up tight.

I sheepishly sleep with a down throw year round ... my own. I do NOT share with Hubby. He likes a lighter comforter. So we only have a fitted sheet and then we each have our own comforters ... I heart my down comforter!!! MINE!
Pair that big ol' comforter with some flannel sheets... yummy! I can't believe we have snow already.
Flannel and the extra comforter come out around Christma here. We had to add one extra already(for my sake.) We can't use down so instead we have three layers of quilts and flannel sheets (I get that cold, hubby doesn't ut he can't stand my cold feet.)
I love my comforter too. But I leave mine on my bed year round. It's too pretty to put away and besides, it's my bedspread!

oohh, I love big, warm comforters too. Fall is almost here-it's my favorite season. A few days ago it was in the 80's here, but today it was cool. Gets me all excited for fall!

Oh, me too! I love my big fluffy comforters! It's a bronze-y satin thing that my brother-in-law gave us and it's SO WARM!

I know exactly what you mean - I was so happy this week to switch back to my comforter. : )
We are clinging to Indian summer here in Indiana. The leaves are ready to turn. I posted a thing on how my husband and I "fought" over which bedspread/comforter to keep on our bed called "King James in the Bedroom," referring to the name my husband calls the big, ornate comforter that I like. I love snow, but it's not a popular opinion among adults around here, so I just keep it to myself!
Yes -- I have to get out our flannel sheets!!!
