Everday Things 2

This week my everyday thing just sucks, but I love it for that. It makes my day so much easier. Without it I would have to beat on something. I allows me to zip along in my quest for a cleaner home. Be it night or day it's willing to do it's job. While it's humming, I can sing or hum along. If I speed up and put a little oomph behind it, it keeps up and gives me a bit of a workout. It has tons of capacity to take in more and more and yet rarely complains or quits. When it gets fed up, it just gently lets me know by blinking at me.

Yes, I'm talking about my vacuum. I couldn't live without it. I cannot imagine what it was like to haul a rug outside, put it over a line and beat it to death. And of course, a rug is what I was refering to above when talking of beating something. So in a choice of

This: or This:

I think I'm feeling like the happy lady with the vacuum that the Lord saw fit to bring me into this day and age where the vacuum is part of my Everyday.

Absotively! When ours went out of commission, I thought I'd go crazy!

Which brings me to thank God for electricity.

Almost makes me want to go vacuum right now... NOT! Thanks for the reminder of what a good thing it really is!

Wow, I love the look of your blog! First time visitor by way of Island Sparrow. Looks like we share common tastes in books especially. Thanks for making me thankful for my vacuum today! I'm still holding out for an Oreck, but hey, anything beats having to beat the dust out of it!

you are too funny. I HATE my vaccuum! Actually, it's broken and someone else does it for me, so really I LOVE her vaccuum! Is that the same thing?

In a previous house, we had really light carpet that showed everything and i vaccuumed every single day and it drove me nuts if i skipped a day. So I can sorta remember what that's like.

But praise God for beige loopy fabric that hides everything!
