Welcome once again to Friday's Fave Five. Time for another edition of Friday's Fave Five. Are you ready to push pause on the busy and take a few moments to just look back on the week and find those things that were a blessing to you? Sometimes it comes easy and sometimes it is a struggle to either want to do it, make the time to do it or to find blessings in a tough week. But the more we practice keeping our eyes open for blessings in the hard, in the mundane and in the busy the more natural it will become to find them. Please join us as we develop the habit of looking for blessings and then being grateful and thankful for them.
~ annual flower shopping ~ every year my sister and I take an afternoon and go and get our flowers. We both look forward to this day. We also both always say we're gonna be restrained this year and we always end up going overboard when we see all the beautiful plants and flowers. It's a fun time we spend together doing something we both love.
~ found treats ~ the other day I was digging through a storage cupboard and I came across a bag of locally made caramels that I forgot I had stashed there a couple months ago. It was a nice surprise and they were just as soft and tasty as if I just bought them.
~ long weekend ~ Monday was a stat holiday here in Canada so I had the day off. Who doesn't love a long weekend? It was so nice to have that extra day. Even though the weather was on the cold side so we didn't do any bike riding we did manage to get some shorter walks in and enjoyed being able to relax. We watched "Song Sung Blue" on Pr!me. If you like Neil Diamond songs and like a good love story you'd probably enjoy this movie based on a true story. Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson did a great job doing their own vocals.
~ another workshop accomplished ~ got another workshop knocked off my training plan for this year. I'm required to do 6 a year and I think I have one left. It's always good to get these things done before summer comes along.
~ neck and back massager ~ we have this massager and lately I have been putting it to good use. I have issues with knots building around my left shoulder blade and along the top of my shoulder and this really helps. Though it really gets in there and I have to be careful not to apply too much pressure or use it for too long in one sitting, which feels good at the time but can leave me sore into the next day, I have learned to go easy with it to get the most benefits. Thankful I have it on hand as I can't drop the money on a massage therapist as often as I happen to need one. This helps out in between my monthly visits.
What were your favorite blessings this week?

Hi Susanne, I grow roses and they are all blooming now. Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. I will need to check out that massager. Have a great weekend!
I know what you mean about flowers. There are so many nice options. How fun to find a forgotten stash of favorite candy. Yay for a long weekend and getting another workshop done. It's great there is a massager like that available for in-between in-person visits.
A nice list of faves this week! My chiropractor does what that massager thing does and health ins covers it! Thankfully my at home exercises have been helping lately with my cervical issues so i haven't needed her since Jan!
I hope you have a lovely long weekend!
Thank you for doing this! I'm going to try to join in again from time to time. It's been awhile. As to your post and the caramels: Is there anything better than finding a treat you had forgotten about? Especially caramels? :-)
A nice list of favorites, Susanne. I’ve been meaning to watch Song Sung Blue, so thanks for the reminder that it’s out there. I’m taking a blogging break, but it’s nice to check in and catch up with friends :)
