Friday's Fave Five #874

Well we are back to the birds on a wire button as the weather has been so gorgeous here this week, way above normal.  So welcome to a very mild and lovely Friday's Fave Five.  Taking a pause to reflect and look for blessings in our last week and always making sure we are thankful to God for them.  Please join us.

~ great bible study ~ I haven't been to study all month due to various reasons so was grateful to be able to get back to it this week.  Working from home and with half a dozen little ones all day, I find I really need that mid-week gathering of women and adult conversation where I never have to say things such as "walking feet please, inside voices please, or we don't poke our fingers in our friends eyes".  😄.  The study was especially good and everyone was participating which made it all the better.  Thankful for my group.

~ helpful hubby ~ on study night I left when hubby was finishing up the scrubbing of the supper pots and pan which is what he usually does but while I was at study he went the extra mile and did all the hand washing of the stuff I can't put in the dishwasher too.  What a blessing to come home from study to not have a sink of dishes to finish off before I could go relax.  Thankful he was observant and noticed I was tired and knew that that small act would really help me out.

~ quiet weekend ~ last weekend was a pretty quiet and relaxing weekend with no appointments or places we needed to be.  I got a few chores done that needed to be knocked off the list, read a lot and watched a couple of movies with hubby.  Thankful for that restful pause.

~ library time ~ the library is one of my happy, self-care places.  Spending time just perusing the shelves and finding good reads is so relaxing and a stress relief for me.  Glad I got to spend some time there in the last week.  And thankful the city sees their value and  supports our public library so well.  We haven't had to pay for a library card since covid.

~ gift of coffee ~ this month I've been enjoying some of the gifts of coffee that were gifted to me at Christmas time.  It's great to try new brands with different coffees from around the world once in awhile.

What were your favorite blessings from the last week?

Glad you had a restful weekend Susanne. I know how hard it must be having all those little ones around you all day. And Yay for a Hubby who does clean up without being asked. My library is definitely a blessing too and it's also free unless you want to reserve items or don't return things on time. Have a good weekend and hope the good weather holds for you.

I'm a little envious of your quiet weekend.

It's funny that our weather and yours is reverse from what it is normally. We've had one of our coldest weeks of the winter with snow forecast today and tomorrow.

I'm glad you were able to get back to Bible study. This time of year when it's cold and dark, I sometimes would rather not leave the house--but I always enjoy Bible study once I get there.

It's such a blessing to have someone help with the dishes.

Glad you had a quiet week and library time! My husband likes trying coffees from around the world, which the kids often gift to him. I tend to stay with my same brand of instant decaf. :)

I absolutely love your list of blessings this week and yay for various coffees from around the world. Our absolute FAVE is Ethiopian coffee followed by our 2nd gave Guatemalan coffee. In March, Dave goes on yet another missions trip down there so I'm hoping he remembers to bring back a couple of pounds. I also tried Tim Horton coffee when we were in Canada a couple years ago and I WISH eastern NY had a TH. (we can sometimes find bags of it at Target).

YAY for the library. I went yesterday and spent a half hour just browsing and ended up walking away with yet another new to me fiction book as well as a new non fiction memoir to read.

I love my Bible study group (we meet here in my home as I'm the leader) and I do remember the need while teaching preK children for adult conversation that didn't center around IEP goals or team issues. Glad you could go and that hubby did the dishes :)

HAPPY WEEKEND

Sounds like a good balanced week. That is interesting that you paid for a library card in the past. Helpful husbands are such a blessing. Hope your weekend is restful.

Aren't those Bible study groups wonderful? I'm sure there are that aren't, but it's such a blessing to be part of one that is. Glad yours has made the blessing list this week.

Faves #2-5 are such sweet gems worth a savor. No wonder they've made your faves!
