Friday's Fave Five #833

Welcome to Friday's Fave Five.   Looking back over the last week we are intentionally choosing to take note of the blessings in our lives whether it's been a great week or a hard week.  God is always there and He wants to bless us but sometimes our focus on the circumstances in our lives cause us to not even notice.  Intentionally taking the time on a regular basis to take note and be thankful helps us to sift through the loudness of the chaos, to find those things in life God brings to uplift us.  Please join in with sharing five of your favorites.

~ lady's group ~ the lady's group at church that I joined in September is really becoming a blessing in my life.  It's a great group with most of the ladies feeling comfortable enough to join in.  Wednesday's meeting had some great conversation as we took a look some scriptures that had us really looking into our hearts.  I'm thankful for the comfortable and open atmosphere that the leader encourages and the safe place it is to share what you think without judgement .

~ steal of a deal ~ I have had a couple of pairs of Keen sandals and have loved them for the comfort and support.  When I was in Marshalls (like TJ Maxx) I came across a pair in another style than the one I've had  that were really nice, they fit great and they were half the price that they are in regular stores.   I'm guessing they were a discontinued color.  Couldn't pass it up so they came home with me.  Thankful for a great deal on something I know I'm going to put to good use on all our summer walks.

I think it's this style, similar color except the black sole is beige

~ open windows ~ several days this week we have been able to fling open windows and get some fresh air flowing through.  When I can do this I know spring is really here.  Yes, there still may be some crazy weather but those open windows tell me the warmth is coming.

~ The Chosen - Last Supper part 2 ~ oh boy it was so good!  A long time to sit in the theatre, 3 episodes, almost 3 hours, but so worth it.  So much depth and one part had me in tears.  It was an extra biblical part (meaning it was not actually in the scriptures) but it made it all so relevant and meaningful.  It definitely was a blessing to be able to go and see it again.  And we have our tickets for the part three tomorrow.

~ texts ~ This week it was a blessing to receive texts and conversation from all three of my adult kids this week.  I love when I see their names pop up.  I'm thankful that texting and messaging is a modern day blessing for those of us with famiy away from home.

What have been your blessings from this past week?

Those sandals look great and at a bargain price - definitely a blessing. Yep technology can be scary at times but I love the way it makes it so much easier to keep in touch with the kids. Have a good weekend Susanne.

I cannot WAIT to see The Chosen Passover when it comes out on Netflix. I hope it's sometime this summer. It's not playing in our theaters....it was here last week for just 2 days but is so pricey. I wonder if it will be available on their website?? before Netflix?

I love the modern communication methods because I can keep in touch with my cousins whom I rarely see unless I'm on FB and I've deactivated my account until Easter so haven't seen their stuff.....but I can text them to check in on family, etc.
Glad you had some good messages from your kids!
Not warm enough yet here to open windows although 2 weeks ago we had one nice day so I could do that. Hopefully by Monday they are saying the temps will be more spring like Today is rainy and dreary. and cold!!

I love Keens!! I have Keen hiking boots but would love a pair of those sandals you show. I'll pop over to Marshall's later to see if our local one has any! I haven't been inside Marshalls in a LONG time.
I hope you have a beautifully releaxing weekend.

It's such a blessing when ladies' groups are like that--when the study is good and searching and the conversation is open and you feel free to say what's on your heart.

How great to find a good deal on the sandals!

Sadly, we've got too much pollen in the air to open the windows--or too much sensitivity to it--but the spring weather has been so nice.

I'm thankful, too, for living in an age of texting and messaging from family.

Have a good weekend!

Hi Susanne! I have some Keen hiking shoes that I love, so those sandals look great! Glad you found them for a good price. It's always great to hear from our children so it's definitely a blessing when they reach out. I am glad that you have a great women's group and also that you were able to see the next part of The Chosen. I hope you have a good weekend! See you again soon!

Extraordinary pleasure in ordinary things-- exactly right!
I agree that those texts (and calls) from adult children simply make my day so much brighter.
Yay on finding such a good deal on the shoes.
Have a good weekend with windows open and breezes blowing softly :)

That's nice that you found the shoes you like and they look very pretty ! Here it was 25° C today, very unusual, but I don't complain ! The whole week it was nice and my window always open. We also could sit outside. This play must have been very nice, because you enjoyed it so much !
