Friday's Fave Five #607

Welcome to Friday's Fave Five.  My post is going to be short and sweet this week.  I have injured my wrist and it makes typing for any length of time painful and hard.  If you are new and want to know about FFF, please use the link  in the sidebar.  Otherwise thanks everyone for joining in yet another week.

~ for when that chocolate craving hits ~  found this at Costco.  Quality 70% chocolate, almonds, pistachios, cranberries, hemp protein, low in sugar. How could I resist?  I'm glad I didn't because they are awesome.  And Faith, they are vegan!

~ for the cold winter nights ~I know it's still fall but we're having a winter preview and it's cold and snowing here this week so my feather duvet is now on the bed.  And it's gloriously warm and comfortable.

~ for when I'm thirsty ~  Root Beer sparkling water.  Yes, it's now a thing.  And I love it.  It's so new I couldn't find a picture or link.

~ for when I needed encouragement ~ on a tough day this week I received the most perfectly uplifting, encouraging text from a dayhome parent.

~ for when I need to escape ~ a good book.  This month I've been reading The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd.  Really good.

What were your favorite blessings this week?

Root beer water? That sounds delicious. I love root beer but not all the stuff that is in it. And the trail mix/granola sounds right up my alley as well. Yum. Is that the over of your book? It looks like something an artist named Mary Englenbright would have drawn. She used to make all sorts of cards and calendars and stuff back in the 90s..

I have loved every novel by Sue Monk Kidd and that one was very good!

Yay for warm covers and vegan treats with low sugar ( so many are high in sugar content!!) and for that water!!!!! Root beer used to be my very fave flavor as a child. I haven't had soda to drink since i turned 40 which was 20 years ago ( other than 1 root beer float at a diner a few years ago and coke in a rum once ina while). I need to find that sparkling water!!! What's the sugar amount though? I like HINT water or pellegrino sparkling as zero sugar.

I hope your days warm up and your white stuff melts quickly.

Happy weekend and i will pray for speedy healing in your wrist.

I am sorry about your wrist! Hope it feels better soon. The snacks look good! I'm looking for low carb, low sugar snacks. Wow, snow already. Glad you can keep warm and cozy. My youngest likes sparkling water. I'll have to see if we can find that flavor here. How wonderful to receive such an encouraging text. Love that graphic at the end.

Oh no! I hope your wrist heals quickly. We’re getting our first “real” snow now too. As you say, it’s just a preview of what’s ahead, but I’m enjoying the excuse to pull out comfort things like blankets and candles.

Oh Susanne! I'm sorry about your wrist injury. Hope you are able to rest it and let it recover.

Those Jojo bars sound pretty good -- especially the low in sugar part. It's hard to find treats that aren't too sweet.

Smiling at your warm cozy duvet. This week, I actually turned off the fan that is set to come on automatically at 9:15pm.

So sorry to hear about your wrist! Praying healing for you.

I love Sue Monk Kidd!

Sparkling water is not something I've liked so far - but maybe root beer would make the difference.

Well I'm glad you found some good things to help. I hope your wrist improves quickly. It must be making life harder. Hopefully you can rest it over the weekend and that will help.

I'm glad the rough is behind you, and hoping your wrist mends quickly. Rootbeer sparkling water sounds delicious, I'll have to look for it. I like Sue Monk Kidd, but haven't read the one you mentioned. Something to look forward to!
