Friday's Fave Five #282
Good Morning, everyone! Hope everyone is having a really great week. Here it is a week when all the kids are off school so it's been super busy for me. All my dayhome kidlets who normally attend kindergarten or pre-K some mornings or afternoons have been here all day and it's been busy, busy, busy. It is one of those weeks where I have to intentionally take a moment and pause and look for blessings amidst the chaos. But that pause is so worth it. Join me in finding moments to be thankful for. If you are new here, you can go here for the guidelines.
1. Easter Celebrations at church. It was a wonderful service and message on continuiing on in the series Jesus is... Of course Easter Sunday's was Jesus is Risen. We took a guest and she just loved the music. Easter Sunday morning I usually miss at church because we have a house full of people but this year I was able to attend the service and it was wonderful. What a blessing to be able to gather with others and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
2. Big City Day Trip. Saturday on the spur of the moment, we made the 2 hour trip into the bigger city and spent a fun afternoon of shopping and then went for dinner to Spaghetti Factory. We were able to meet T, who is attending school an hour away in the opposite direction and just have a few hours of fun together, though she couldn't come for dinner because of having to get back to work. Sometimes it's nice just to get away to a different place.
3. New spring pillows for the couch. I was able to find some lighter colored pillows for a somewhat decent price, they are all so darn expensive!, but these were within my budget. The pillows I had I love but are so dark colored and I was craving some spring uplifting in my living room. Found ones I love, and a pair even have birds on them and seeing birds are one of my favorite things, it was a sale! They brighten and freshen up the living room. I wish my camera was working so that I could put up a pic!
4. Finally, spring bedding! The weather has finally stayed above freezing so I went with it and got that lighter weight bedding onto the bed! Doing that is acknowledging that finally spring really might be here to stay. Yipee!
5. Coffee ready and waiting. My hubby is such a blessing. Always having fresh coffee awaiting me when I get up in the morning. I'm afraid I have got quite spoiled with this blessing.
What are your favorite blessings for the week?

Somehow, I hadn't considered that spring break would not mean a break for your day home! Good to hear that your Easter celebrations was joyous and meaningful. You seem quite ready for spring, if spring will only come to stay!
I hadn't thought of that either, that spring break would mean more kids for you. Glad you made it through! :-)
We enjoyed Easter services very much, too, as well as a family dinner.
That is sweet of your husband to have coffee ready for you.
Glad you got to spend some time with T and then found a good deal on springy pillows!
Coffee waiting! There is nothing like it in the mornings. I am ready to make my home feel more like spring too!
I am so thankful for our Risen Savior! My God's not dead He's surely ALIVE! (love that song)
Have a great weekend Susanne!
Poor you having so many kids to keep the whole day ! I am already falling into pieces after a weekend with my 3 year old grandson, lol !
So glad you had a wonderful Easter celebration - we did too.
Coffee waiting . . . that's a good man :)
we had a few days with 16C and I thought about taking the heavy blanket off - good thing I didn't - there's poor man's fertilizer spread all over the ground this morning :(
Ah well - I'm used to it! When everyone south of us is sweltering in July and August we'll be enjoying beautiful breezy summer days :)
Your day trip sounds like fun! Yes, it's a blessing to have a thoughtful husband to have coffee ready for you in the morning!
Easter is so great. Glad you had a good celebration. A fun time in the bigger city meeting up with loved ones...can't go wrong with that.
Have a great weekend.
Spring break isn't a break for you--just more work. I hope you get a post spring break.
Isn't it fun to spontaneously arrange a quick trip? I'm glad you could see your girl, too.
The best is Easter Sunday! He is risen!
You are blessed to have a helpful husband!
The idea of spring pillows and spring bedding is very appealing. My pillows are dark colored, too. Hmmm...
Have a wonderful weekend!
great list of faves! i also wrote about shopping and coffee and of course the Easter celebrations. I also wanted to take the time to tell you that I did send you an email under my gmail account and also i'd like to thank you for hosting this writing exercise each week. I have loved looking back on my week and thinking of the little or big things God has blessed my life with. It is great to read others' blessings as well. Thank you Susanne!!
What a great hubby, to have your coffee ready and waiting in the morning! You have to be incredibly busy, Susanne, but we're so thankful that you host FFF each Friday. Love the idea of getting ready for spring with pillows and bedding. Have a great week ahead!
