WHOA! the dreaded S word!! Actually, I was supposed to hike with my husband and another couple 2 1/2 hrs north of us in Saranac Lake, NY on a mountain that is 3,300+ feet yesterday (sunday). we awoke to very cold temps here, checked the weather app for that area and they were getting snow! so we moved the hike to the Catskills (south of us by 30-60 minutes) and had a good day although the wind was downright bitter! Today is 50 degrees F although the wind coming from the north west is very cold. Hope it warms up a little for you!!
Yes Susanne, the Midwife of Hope River is one I think you mentioned because when I saw it on the town library shelf I immediately thought of you!!! so far I LOVE it!!! Did you know when I was a teen, I wanted to be a missionary teacher down in Appalachia? I thot that would be so cool!!
Snow shovel's by the front door, Susanne. Knowing your unpredictable weather, I bet you never put that shovel away and may have even incorporated it into your decor ;-)
WOW...what a drastic change in your weather. We had the high winds last night and it is still windy today, but nothing like it was during the night. Our temps are supposed to be in the 60's today.
I'm new here...but I enjoy what I've seen of your blog. I also participated in FFF today for the first time. Such a fun thing to do!

Yikes. Sorry. It's been 'cold' here too. Low 60Fs.
Wowzers! I'd be more than happy to share my sunny skies and 84 degree (F) weather with you. ;)
Oh my goodness Susanne! Weather whiplash indeed! Hope it melts soon.
