Friday's Fave Five #214

It's Friday.  It's Fave Five day!  Welcome.  Have you looked over your week and found some blessings?  Are you ready to pick 5 of them to share?  They can be big ones, they can be small ones.  They can be ones that were easy to find or they can be ones that you had to really think about to find in hard places.  The point is that you are looking for the good in your life, the blessings that God sends to uplift you and help you through your days.  If you need guidelines they are here.

Well it's still a chilly one with snow here so a lot of my favorites are all about being warm and cozy.  Things I"m very grateful for when the weather turns for the cold.

1.  My furnace.  I do not take this for granted at all.  When the snow is swirling and the temp goes below the freezing mark I am very thankful that there is warm air coming out of those vents.

2.  Hot Apple Cider.  I love this hot, sweet drink when it's cold outside.  The smell, the cinnamon, the apple, holding the hot mug with both hads so that it's heat warms me inside and out.  Yum!

3.  Cardigans and sweaters.  So warm, so toasty, so comfortable.  I love when fall hits and I can pull these out of their storage bin.  My favorite right now is a purple zippered sweater with sleeves that are actually long enough and then some.

4.  Spicy scented candles.  Just their "warm" smells make me feel warm.  Candles such as Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, Mulled Cider, Cranberry Woods and Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut have been burning and making the whole house smell cozy

5.  Warm Socks have made it out of my drawer and onto my toes.  I love a new package of socks.

Well looking over it my favorite blessings this week seem small but I recognize them as blessings and things that have brought happiness or lifted my spirits.  What were your favorites this week?

I would have seconded your warm socks until this evening--the hot Santa Ana winds started tonight. Believe it or not, we turned on our furnace this morning. That's something I never take for granted, either. Stay warm!

After that snowy (blizzardy) photo earlier this week, it's no wonder all your fives are cozy things. And do they sound lovely! Enjoy your weekend with your toasty socks.

Yumm - Hot apple cider is a must when it's chilly out.

I also like how it warms the hands and how the steam delights the nose.

A new fave of mine is salted caramel hot chocolate.

I've been enjoying candles and warm cider, too. So grateful to live where there are distinct seasons!

I'm a HUGE fan of all your favorites this week...and where do I live? South Florida?? Your post makes me miss real fall.

Glad to hear you're staying warm and cozy. Have a great weekend!

So far we haven't turned the furnace on yet, but it's been cool enough for sweaters in the house. They do feel cozy. Love hot apple cider -- I don't have it often but like it when I do have it.

Glad you're staying warm and toasty amid the snow!

Yay for cider and socks and for the small things that remind us of the BIG grace that is ours in Christ! :)

I've read Barbara's Friday's Fave Five for years and am trying it today for the first time. Hope this works--

Cozy warming creature comforts are a big blessing when the weather is chilly.

Glad your snug and warm even though you have snow!

I do not think your favorites this week are small at all, but then they all could so easily make it to a list of favorites for me as well... so maybe I am biased? :-)

Even in our move I pulled out my fall scented candles. It was one of the very first things brought to our new home. I am familiar with most of the scents you listed here except Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut... which sounds absolutely delightful!

Happy Friday!
