Today is Friday and that means we get to look over the past week and recognize what was a blessing in our lives whether big or small. Sharing them makes it fun. So join us, won't you? If you need the guidelines, yes there are some, just pop over here first and then join right in.
My kitchen reno has been the blessing that has been the most obvious and foremost in my life this last couple of weeks and while I am sooo loving it and it being on the verge of being finished, I am also tired of mentioning it and I'm sure regular readers are tired of seeing it mentioned so I've made a point of looking for other blessings. There is so much more in life that is beyond material things that I want to make sure I notice. So in no particular order here are mine:

I'm linking because it's a few minutes long but it's amazing to watch. About the 3 1/2 minute mark is unreal. Can't imagine the hours of practice this performance took. It just makes me amazed to watch it.
2. Brief moments to catch snippets of reading time. It's been so busy the last three weeks that these moments have been precious. Reading relaxes me and transports me so even if I can't sit for long periods to read I must have snatches of a few pages here and there throughout the day. I'm finishing up "Secret Life of Bees" which was a summer goal so I'm glad I was able to get that in.
3. An excellent meal at a new to us restaurant. A Vietnamese place. The spring rolls, the noodles, the chicken and the veggies. So delicious, we can't wait to go back! And the company was fun. Thanks to our realtor for introducing us to this little place.
4. Back to home cooking. Yes, I actually said this right on the heals of naming a new restaurant being a favorite. I looove to eat out but between holidays and then no kitchen for 2 weeks immediately afterwards it has been a lot of eating out. Yikes. I'm glad to be back to more of a routine in cooking and the healthier eating I can do at home. And the break on the old bank account is good too.
5. Making it to the gym. I made my "3x a week" commitment. Even in a crazy week. Yay me. So far I'm loving the premise of the half hour circuit workout that Curves adopts. A half hour I can do!
What have been your favorites this week? Are they big and obvious and are they more hidden and to be found like a prize or treasure? Share in a post and join us by linking up. Then take a few moments and visit some of the other participants. It is encouraging reading other's posts too!

Reading? You got reading in, in the midst of the crazy? And even the gym. I'm very impressed. Glad you enjoyed your Vietnamese restaurant. Hope you get settled in with the kitchen stuff soon.
What a performance ! I'll try it out this afternoon with Mr. G. lol !
Vietnamese restaurants, I love them too ! BTW is your kitchen finished now ?
thank you for your encouraging words Susanne and your prayers for my back. will be back here to read your faves after work....have a good day!
Making it to the gym...oh, I feel guilty! I'm sure you'll be glad to get back to cooking and order. And I can't wait to see the finished product! Have a great week!
Reading, cooking, exercising! You are doing great! Good for you!
That video was incredible!
As nice as it is to go out for dinner as a treat, I wouldn't want it to be the norm...
I agree,if you go out to eat too much it is hard on the pocketbook. But it is great for those times you just can't cook at home (or have the time to cook at home!)
You go, girl! It's awesome you are making it to Curves 3 times a week!
My goodness Susanne - you are right! That performance is amazing! I was holding my breath just watching it on video!
I've never tried Vietnamese food. Sounds good!
So glad you got some snatches of reading in even in the midst of all the reno confusion. Things will seem a bit quieter this week! and you'll be glad :)
Happy weekend Susanne - thanks again for hosting!
PS - congrats on making it to Curves too!
Gattina: I just took a big sip of coffee when I read your comment. Needless to say I had to run and get a rag. Hahaha. Make sure you video that and post it for a future FFF! LOL!
Wow, that performance was amazing. I just cannot imagine what all it took to do that.
I get tired of the routine of cooking, but when we are away for a while and eating out all the time, it is nice to come back to.
So glad the renovations are nearing completion.
I'm like that with reading, too -- my day just isn't complete unless I get at least a few pages in.
I'm impressed as well that you made it to the gym three times during such a busy week. I keep thinking about it and then thinking it would take extra time to go and come and I should just exercise at home -- and then never get to it.
Oh your work out time sounds wonderful...I can't WAIT til I can start working out again!!!!! I'm gaining weight from being dormant all these weeks.....UGH! LOL...and I actually like cooking at home too now a days...so much more healthier....I'm getting in to the raw and organic thing now....and only buying meat that's lean, grass fed, or fish that is direct from the ocean, not farm raised. It's my goal to be mostly veggies, fruits and grains by thanksgiving. Can't wait to see pics of your new kitchen!
Jonathan and I had four days away all to ourselves, thanks to my mom who watched the kids. So guess what I'M thankful for this week?!?!
