Friday's Fave Five #207

Is it Friday already?  Oh my, this week has just disappeared on me.  But Friday it is so that means we are gathering to look back over the week, find some blessings and share our favorite five.  If you need the guidelines then just stop by here first and then just join in.

It has been a very hectic week here at Living to Tell but there is always time to just take a moment and pause to look for blessings otherwise they might just fly right by without really even being noticed or acknowledge on weeks like this.  So taking a breath and remembering:

1.  Grace.  So thankful for the grace to get through 2 weeks of kitchen cabinet demolition and installation and still have dayhome running.  Whew.  The weather was pretty good so we were able to play outside alot, and the baby miraculously slept through some pretty noisy grout cutting and sawing.  Don't know how but am so thankful .

2.  Cabinets are in and I love them!  I was a little worried about the color thinking they might end up being too dark,  but they turned out perfect, exactly as I wanted them.  Counter tops will be on next Monday.  Yipee!

3.  Heading back to fitness.  I bit the bullet this week and signed back up with a gym this week.  Once I made the decision I went right over and signed up before I could make excuses. Cause I'm real good at making excuses.  My first night was last night and it was good.  I signed with Curves and I'm liking that it's circuit training and that it's a 30 minute workout.  I can do that.

4.  A hard working hubby.  I'm so appreciative of my hubby who has been working morning to night to make this kitchen happen for me. Since the day after we came home from holidays,  he has done all the demo and tearing out working extra hard to keep our tiles intact as they were only a year old.  He put the fridge and the stove plug ins into the the wall because they were basically just sitting on top of the wall, gotta love older houses.  He's done mega running around and it hasn't gone unnoticed.  Thanks Sweetie!

5.  Mom being okay after a scary trip to emergency.  Definitely a scary moment but she's good now.  Praise God.

What have been blessings in your life this week.  Feel free to sign onto Mr. Linky if you've done a post share your favorite five.  Then grab a cup of your favorite beverage, put your feet up, relax and visit others who are sharing.  Then please, go, and have a wonderful weekend.

I'm still impressed that you managed having a houseful of kids, workmen, and displaced kitchen! Glad that you've signed up with a gym with do-able schedule. Bless your patient and persistent husband for all his hard work. That is love in action.

I really admire you ! combining kids and a demolished kitchen and still have time to sign in for "Curves" lol ! But I went through this (except kids, only one) years ago and I know it is a real hard time ! And we had workers putting the new kitchen in !

Glad to hear that your Mom is okay! Getting new kitchen cabinets sounds really nice :). Our house is really old and the kitchen is also quite old. But we cannot afford any remodeling right now.

Have fun exercising!

So thankful your mom is ok!! And for sunny weather so that you could have the kids outside while all the renovations were happening. And God bless your sweet hubby! You are really going to enjoy and appreciate the new look!!

And on top of all that, you joined Curves?? Congratulations! I've been doing Leslie Sansone videos - and some pilates. It feels good to get it done - not so much while doing it. I'm hoping that will happen sometime soon haha!

Happy weekend Susanne! Thanks for hosting.

I'm so glad everyone is surviving the kitchen re-do with grace. I know what you mean about second-guessing choices, and it's great that the cabinets turned out just right.

I so need to get back to exercise. the day seems to fly away before I can get to it (an excuse, I know). I have several home DVDs and video-game workouts, but I have thought of trying a gym.

Hard-working hubbies are the best and are so appreciated.

So glad your mom is OK.

Yippee for the cabinets being in and that you still like them! Sorry about the scare with your mom. I'm still MIA for Friday's Faves. These weeks are getting away from me...

Wow, I've lived through remodeling - but not while running a dayhome! So glad you are surviving this! Hope you share pictures of the finished job - I love looking at renovated kitchens.

I belonged to Curves once and really enjoyed the circuit training. I quit only because my life then was so hectic with all the girls' games and such. Now that I'm an empty nester, I need to go back!

Glad to hear your scary moment was just a moment and just a scare! I saw pictures of your "in process kitchen," but I can't wait to see the "all done" ones! (I'm sure you can't wait for that either.) Have a great week!

I have really missed FFF. Summer just really took me off guard! But it's feeling more stable at the moment.

I'm very glad to hear that your mom is ok!
