Friday's Fave Five #165
How interesting, today is the 11th day of the 11 month of the 11th year of the 2000's. That will never happen again in history. Welcome once again to Friday's Fave Five. It's always a pleasure having everyone join in on this little meme started to help me be more aware of the blessings in my life.
1. Remembering all those who have given their lives or have fought for our freedoms. Today is Remembrance Day in Canada and I am very grateful for all the veterans and those currently serving. Thank you seems such a small thing to say in light of what you have fought for.
2. The wind is howling outside tonight, apparently blowing in some snow. And when the wind blows the simple pleasure of my warm, comfy throws makes me very happy. Nothing like curling up with one on the couch when it's blustery outside.
3. Hubby's company when I had to run some errands this week. So much nicer doing running around stuff with his company.
4. A great deal. My heart sings when I come across a big unexpected deal. I walked into a store on the weekend and right by the doors they were clearing out some summer items. As soon as I laid eyes on one of the things I knew it was the perfect Christmas gift for my sis and her hubby. I didn't set out to go Christmas shopping but when I find a great gift at a great price I'm in Christmas shopping mood!
5. Forgiving friends. Yikes, I was supposed to meet a friend at a local stores opening night of their Christmas extravaganza only I thought it was next week. Well it was this week. She waited and waited and finally had to leave. She did try to text but I was charging my phone and had it turned off. But she was very gracious and laughed it off and we have a another fun night set for next week.
What were your moments of happiness, or meaning, or smiles from the past week? Share with us in a post and link on up! Have a great long weekend. Hopefully we won't be digging out from too much snow.

We're having a blustery day here as well - but it's coming down as rain. Which seems pretty typical for Remembrance Day!
I found a few good Christmas deals too this week too.
Keep warm and cosy Susanne!
Here's my post for Mr Linky. Thanks!

It sounds as though you had a lovely week, And yes running errands with a companion almost makes it an adventure, doesn't it.
We are also honoring our Vets here in the states too today (thus my day off)....it's great to have friends who forgive and our patient and i love cuddling under warm quilts on a cold, blustery nite...we have had a stretch of warm weather with beautiful sun...temps in the low 60's but it's back to more seasonal temps for today with a cool wind at 45 f. Enjoy your long weekend.

I'm so thankful too for the faithful ones who served and continue to serve our country. We are blessed. I guess your Remembrance Day is like our Veteran's Day, which is also today.
I plan on having my hubby's company today to run errands. Yes, it is nicer that way.
Sounds like you have a forgiving friend. ha. The best kind because we all need forgiveness!

I know what you mean about throw blankets -- so cozy.
So neat to stumble across a great deal!
And I agree with Lisa -- forgiving friends are the best kind because we all do need it.
I love doing errands with my hubby. since he works 2 hours away everyday, even trips to the grocery store are special.
There have been a couple of times that I have "forgotten" dates with friends. Like you, Susanne, I experienced grace. That's a good friend who laughs it off.
Doing errands with a special someone is awesome. It sure makes the time "special". Hurray for your hubby.
I love that your heart sings over good deals. ;D (Are you related to my husband!?!?)
Forgiving friends are indeed a treasure!
Have a fantastic weekend!
Ah, we all need forgiving friends!
I love cozy throws, too. And having hubby along to do errands is always a highlight!
having your hubby with you on errands sounds great!
Don't you love those good deals? Hope you do okay with that snow.
Love having a companion for those errands, too. Have a great week ahead, Susanne.
Oh, those cozy comforters sound wonderful! Even here in the somewhat lower latitudes we appreciate warm blankets--how much more for you in the snow.
Your week was great--even the little snafu with wrong weeks--we know who our friends are!
I'm glad you're cozy, and I hope you don't get hit too hard. Isn't it fun when you find just the right thing? And on sale, too! Bonus!
I'm glad your friend has forgiven you and that you've made some new plans. It sounds fun.
I'm so thankful for our freedoms, and the selfless ones who serve.
Thank you, and have a wonderful week. - Catherine
I love when you talk about the companionship of your marriage, it's a good reminder to me.
Mmm love comfy throws on a cold, yucky day!! And great that you have your hubby's company! I love when mine runs errands with me; sometimes I just don't like to go it alone. And of course remembering the Veterans...my grandfather and great-uncles were Veterans.
In Belgium the 11 is a holiday too. Also in France but not in the other European countries.
Thursday I fly home !
