Friday's Fave Five #92

Welcome to Fave Fives this wonderful Friday. Please join us as we look back over the week and find those things that have been blessings for us. Details are here.

It's been a crazy week for me with a family crisis right in the middle so this is a really good exercise for me right now. Otherwise I might just go on auto pilot and not even recognize a blessing when it was there for me.

1. Volunteers who show compassion and are there for families and individuals. My mom went through an awful event this week and I thank God for the compassionate young man who was sent to be an aide to her. He was gentle and kind and I thank him for that.

2. Strangers that gave my mom a helping hand when she needed it the most. Thank you to those strangers who helped my mom when she needed it.

3. Fast food. I know it's not healthy but when I was exhausted it was there and ready and hot. I'm was glad for fast food restaurants last night.

4. Birds singing. It instantly lifts my mood to hear birds singing and they've been giving us their songs a lot this week. It seems the cooler, cloudy days make them want to lift their voices and I've been enjoying every note!

5. Rain on one side

and Rainbows on the other and the reminder that comes with them of God's faithfulness.

Thank you Lord, for those blessings, large and small, that carried me through this week.

What were your blessings, large or small this week that turned to favorite moments? Do a FFF post and link that post along with us and let us enjoy your favorites along with you.

Susanne, I'm so glad people were on hand to help your mom and your family. Blessings to that young man! Like you, I'm not a big fan of fast food, but we ate it this week too while we traveled and vacationed. I guess that's why it's called convenient and fast.

I love the sound of birds singing also. No matter what the circumstance they always cheer me. I hope your mum will be O.K. And, there is nothing like those skinny little, salty, fatty french fries!

Dear Suzanne ~ I'm praying for you, your mom, and family right now. And thanking the Lord with you for His faithfulness in sending people to help. You captured a beautiful picture of a rainbow, a sign of hope and promise. May the Lord fill your heart with His hope, promises and tender love. I'm so glad that the birds are serenading you - their cheery songs lift my heart too.
Love
Kathie

Susanne, wonderful people make up our life and I've met a number of them, glad your mom has as well. Fast food is a time saver for sure. The song of the birds brings me into my garden each day. I feed the birds around breakfast time and our B&B guests enjoy their song. Love your photo of the rainbow. Over the past 17 days of rain I'm sure there is a rainbow somewhere in PEI

I wrote about my mom and divine appointments this week, too, Susanne! Glad He provided for our moms in just the right way this week.

Your photos are beautiful, a great reminder of God's faithfulness. He sent the birdsong to cheer your heart this week! Thanks for sharing, and I'm praying for you.

God can send just the right people to help us in times of struggle, can't He? So glad to hear that your mom had help when she needed it. The birds have been singing up a storm over here, too. We always said on the farm that they were "singing for rain" when it was cloudy and they would sing a lot.

It is a blessing that there are people ready to help when we can't be there, isn't it? And thanks for your rainbow pictures. Very pretty! I hope your mom is doing okay.

The compassion of strangers is invaluable, and I'm glad there was someone there to help your mom. I love rainbows, but rarely see any to capture!

Sometimes fast food just hits the spot. I actually crave it now and then.

The sound of birds is such a blessing, I enjoy it too.

I am running late today -- just got back from a road trip this afternoon.

I am so sorry for what your mom went through, but so glad people stepped in to help.

I have been very glad for fast food, too. Though I do tend to eat it too often, there are times it is a real blessing not to have to think of making a meal.

Those are gorgeous rainbow pictures, and they remind me of God's faithfulness as well.

I am sO sorry to hear you had a crisis this week! That is never a good thing! Adding your Mom and your family to my prayers -- hoping all has been resolved - but just in case!

I did post a FFF today - I did NOT link up though because I knew I would not have time to visit but a few people.

Have a great week Susanne!

What marvelous rainbow pictures with rain on the other side of the street as well ... seems perfect for the week you experienced. Counting my blessings in the midst of challenges is often all that gets me through ... though the kindness of compassionate folks, a bit of fast food, and the songs of birds certainly help too. Hope next week is a less stressful one for you ;-)
Hugs and blessings,

thank God for all the good people in our world. They do not get enough press. I hope your mom's crisis is/was short lived and she is on the way back to solid ground again.

The birds are more active when it is cool.....I'm so glad God made the birds to sing.
