Friday's Fave Five #80

Welcome to Friday's Fave Five where we take a moment and reflect back over the week and pick out five of our favorite things from our week. If you are new, please take a moment, and go here and read over the guidelines, and then just join right in.
This week was hard to pick out only a handful of favorites. There just seemed so many things to be thankful for.

1. My oldest daughter down for a visit. I so look forward to when she can come home. She arrived safe and sound and we had 10 days of enjoying her. It was, as usual, very hard to watch her drive away today. And especially hard, because she won't be home for Easter. Her school will be gone on their missions trip. It will be the first holiday we haven't had her here. It's gonna be tough, but I'm glad we had her here now. We enjoyed dinner out, seeing a 3D movie, talking about books, and just having her around.

2. Watching Survivor and Amazing Race with my oldest. Boy I miss doing that with her. It was lots of fun moaning at the bad decisions, cheering on the good ones and in general talking to the tv together. LOL.

3. Nachos. I know, I just have to mention food. We found a restaurant that makes really awesome nachos. But the best part? My son turning to me and saying my homemade ones were still better. I love that boy.

4. My bed. Now that the girl is gone back to school the thought of crawling into my bed is sounding better by the minute. Not that I didn't get into it while she was here, but I just wasn't sleeping the same. Between some job stress this week and the added late nights staying up with her it has caught up to me. I can hardly wait to get some good sleep.

5. Wild Cherry tea. The tea flavor I picked up while in the big city last week. Yummy. It smells just awesome and I'm dying to try it iced. It's the kind that you use a tea press with so it literally has big chunks of cherries, rosehips and such in it.

And just because so many of you asked to see a pic of "the purse", just for you:

I'm now ready for spring!

So what were your favorites from the week? If you do a post, please link on up so we can visit you. Please link to the specific post and not your home page so that we can easily get the FFF. Have a wonderful weekend.

I know what you mean about staying up late, enjoying your kids. I was tired all day today for that very reason--talking to my son who is home for two days. Cherry tea? Sounds interesting. Love the spring bag! Have a great weekend, and thanks as always for hosting FFF!

Y'know, I love it that you number these. It's amazing to see that 80th post on FFF :-) Glad you had a lovely time while your oldest was home with you. Wait, you're going to tease us with that #3 without posting a recipe??

I'm so glad that you had such a fabulous time with your daughter! Esp. as she won't be there at Easter. It's nice to have that time.

The purse is so very cute. =) I can see why you like it!

And speaking of beds....I'm off to find mine!

Goodnight!

Time with your daughter and the compliment from your son is such a happy read. That's a pretty purse, perfect for spring. I did wonder last week what it looked like. I'm glad you shared the photo :)

Family is precious isn't it! I can imagine how hard it must have been watching her drive away again, even if it means you get more sleep! I bought wild cherry-raspberry tea last week, and it's delicious!
Have a great weekend Susanne!

Oh I bet your bed feels nice after those late nights and work stress. It's so nice to crawl into a cozy bed when you are soooooo tired. Wow that Cherry tea sounds yummy, I will have to look for it. Glad you could enjoy time with your daughter, so precious isn't it!! :)

That is definitely a springy purse!

I'm glad you had a great visit with your daughter!

Those first holidays away are really tough, but I am glad you had this time together beforehand.

That was sweet of your son!

I love AR but nobody else here is into it. Thus last one was a little more suspenseful as far as there not being a clear leader all the way through.

Oh I do love that purse! I'm still using my brown purse and this reminded me it's definitely time to change.

And so glad you got to spend the time with your daughter. I'm spoiled since mine has moved back home for a bit, but I know it won't last for long. Thank you for the reminder to cherish all I have while I have it!

Looks like a wonderful week with your daughter and son! Love the spring bag ... sleep is something to treasure and nachos are always tempting.
I don't see Mr. Linky so I'll add here that I'm participating at my Wordpress site Happily Retired Gal rather than one of my Blogger sites this week.
Hugs and blessings,

Oh that purse is just ADORABLE!!! I can SEE why you were so excited about it!

I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to that daughter again... I'd like to tell you it gets easier ... but it never did for ME - not when they were going far... for long... *sigh* Where is she going on her mission trip? I will pray for her and her group!

That cherry tea sounds good!

Thanks for posting a picture of your purse! I was one of the commenters who asked to see it.

What is it with boys and moms food? My son is the same way, when we eat out he always says its good, but not as good as what I make. Those comments do the heart good :)

So sorry your daughter will not be home for Easter, the holidays are a little harder when one of our loved ones is missing.

Hope you're catching up on some good sleep this weekend. And what a blessing that your daughter was home for 10 days! Wish I could get that kind of time with my daughter...maybe this summer?

The purse is SO cute!

You always have a new good tea to recommend. That one sounds wonderful.

Spending time with your kids is the best, isn't it? Hope you get some good sleep now. I had to give up my son for a mission trip during Spring Break -- know how you feel.

Happy weekend!
