It's Monday so that means Melissa is hosting "The Week in Words". It's as simple as quoting some quotes that spoke to you during the week. The only thing is it has to be from something you have read in the past week. I love me a good quote, so here we go.

This quote really spoke to my heart. Love those moments of clarity, being right in the moment, having a sharp clear realization of something."Clarity is always what a photographer strives for. Well, that and a photograph that sings out from within in some indescribable way. Photographs that make one take in a breath while being drawn into the image. It is what I want in my life too, those moments of sharp breathing, perfect clarity, fully drawn in.
~Jessie in A Flickering Light by Jane Kirkpatrick
Very convicting."People notice when we are patient with strangers in line, with our kids at the park, and with our co-workers in meetings, because it is so much more common to show impatience. A patient stillness in attitude, words, and behavior, even in the midst of stress, always stands out"~"The Love as a Way of Life Devotional pg.51

Patience...something I seem to have less and less of these days...I think it is because I see less good manners.... Poor sentence structure, lol!
Enjoyed both quotes Susanne! I also think your "spotted" photo is gorgeous :0)
Both great quotes. I love those moments of clarity. And those seemingly unnoticed little acts can often be a great testimony.
The one on patience is so good! You are right, convicting for sure. And challenging as well.
Good stuff. And yes, I'll join the ranks of the convicted with that second quote. :)
Thanks for visiting me at hummingbirdcreek.
I love the second quote. it is so true that "A patient stillness in attitude, words, and behavior, even in the midst of stress, always stands out". I must remember that even when I'm at home and no one sees how I'm responding to my children.
Those are both winners, Susanne!
I'm going to share the photography quote with Mockingbird (my 16yo daughter/photographer).
I enjoyed both of your quotes this week. Thanks for sharing them. I would love for you to join me for Crock Pot Wednesday whenever you can. There's a giveaway going on.
Loved your "patience" quote. Gotta remember that people are always watching us!! Thanks for that reminder.
Love those quotes, and the 2nd one convicted me, too. The Lord's been talking to me quite a bit about patience lately.
good quotes! i especially like the second one! i'll have to check out that link you gave....
Why is it that the people we love the most are the hardest to be patient with? That's what I'd like to know.
I enjoyed both of these quotes. Thanks for sharing them.
I love quotes..I used a few this past week, once again.
Sorry, I missed your FAVE Five..I'm up in the mountains, getting fresh air and exercise..
Wow. That second quote is amazing and so true. I've noticed when people are patient, too, and tried to avert my attention when people are impatient. Thank you for sharing it.
Thanks, Susanne, for quoting Jessie in A Flickering Light. She was my grandmother, a photographer. She would have loved your photographs! Clarity and courage are my watchwords these days, getting clear about what matters and having the courage to act on that. Your site is a delight. Warmly, Jane Kirkpatricki
