Happy day after Thanksgiving! Is everyone all turkeyed out? Perfect for joining in and letting us know your favorite things from this week. Was it the turkey? The Macy's parade? Aunt Ethel's yams? Baking that certain dessert? Let us know! If you're new, welcome. Details are here. Join on in!
Can you believe this is chocolate and candy and not actually sushi? Some people are so creative.
1. The brides of Harris County wedding put on by Rachel Ray. These brides lost everything in Hurricane Ike. All their savings and deposits on their weddings. Everything. Rachel Ray heard about it and threw them a wedding. One big wedding for 40 brides and grooms. I tell you, watching the show, I bawled through the whole thing. It was so touching.
2. This cologne I bought hubby for his birthday. Some men's cologne (and ladies too) hits me behind the eyes and literally makes my eyes cross. It's hard to describe but I can't stand it. It literally hurts behind my eyes. But this? This stuff is nice! Very subtle and fresh smelling. I could smell it all day.
3. For creative foods you gotta love this! How creative is that?!

4. I'm loving & thoroughly enjoying the talented kids Southern Alberta is showing casing this year on the national stage. First there was this Southern Albertan who we cheered and voted for all summer long and who went on to win the Canadian Idol crown. And now two young dancers from Calgary are on their way to the finals (final four) next week in So You Think You Can Dance Canada! It's been so much fun watching them realize their dreams.
5. Reading all your posts about your plans for Thanksgiving and dinner. I've been devouring your posts all week. Yum, yum. Made me almost break out a turkey for this weekend. Almost but not quite. I'll have wait for Christmas. :v)
Now I know most of you are visiting with your families or up at 4 am to hit the sales, a tradition I just cannot fathom. Nothing would drag me out of bed that early! But I'll leave this at the top of the blog all weekend if you happen to be around or if you've got a minute to let us know your favorites from this special week and holiday weekend.

That's great about Rachael Ray. Makes me wish I had tv- how I miss her shows. Those candy sushi boxes are too cute for words. Now that's some sushi I could sink my teeth into. Have a wonderful weekend Susanne.
I'm baaaaack. Wanted to let you know I have a little something for you on my blog if you want it. http://tia-mimi.blogspot.com/2008/11/my-first-award-to-give.html
What cute sushi! I might actually eat those~
They do so many unique things with chocolates these days!
No 4 a.m. shopping for me, either! I wonder how many people actually do get up that early to shop. There must be some or the stores wouldn't keep being open that early on "Black Friday," but I don't get up that early for much of anything!
Hooray for Friday's Fave Five! I look forward to reading everyone's lists each week.
I also enjoyed reading folks' Thanksgiving plans as well as sleeping past 4:00 today. No Black Friday shopping for me.
The cologne and the chocolate look interesting.
Happy-Rest-Of-Thanksgiving-Break!
The 4 AM shopping is not a tradition I have adopted. Instead, I am sitting in the warmth and quiet of my home with a cup of coffee... and no regrets!
I love the sushi! I saw some make your own sushi cat toys this week that peeked my interest. What a cute idea it owuld be to give a cat owner in your life a matching gift of sushi candies for her and a sushi cat toy for kitty.
Hmmm - chocolate sushi - sounds like a sushi that I would like - I've tried the real kind and it's a culinary stretch for me!
Hope you have a great weekend Suzanne!
Hi Susanne :)
That candy looks so neat!! You're right - some people are very creative.
I didn't go shopping today. There was nothing that I really "needed" so I decided to sleep in :) But, last year, I was at a store at 4:15am. I loved it and would do it again :)
Thanks so much for hosting this. Have a nice weekend!
Love your list Susanne :)
#1 - that's quite a memory for those 40 brides and grooms! #3 - very cute, though I think I'd rather have the real thing! Happy Friday, Susanne!
I love that story about the weddings. I cry at weddings anyway, I would sure to be a bawler like you.
The Girl and Mr. Right would LOVE that Sushi box... if it really ere fish.
Sushi sounds really good right about now. I think I'm all turkey-ed out. But no chocolate. Gimme the real fishy thing!
No Black Friday shopping for me. I just can't imagine since I don't much like shopping at all.
Three cheers for Rachael Ray!
I've posted my Fave Five.
I had an early start shopping this black friday! Then I had a nap! That's my excuse for being so late today :)
Great list, happy Friday!
