Today is back to work. My goodness was it hard getting up early this morning. I need a vacation to recuperate from my vacation. So getting my inspiration from my friend Linda at 2nd Cup of Coffee, who wore her happy shoes to work on her first day back, I put on my new happy shoes. And guess what? I'm quoting Linda here to say that yes, they really do say, "We're cute. This is a happy day. God is good. Your boss is nice. (That would be me! ;v)) Be happy like me". That Linda, she understands shoe speak pretty well, doesn't she? And I'm responding just like her in saying "Ok!"
Aren't they cute happy shoes? And I got them for less than half price on the last day of vacation! It made my bank account very happy, too! And it's a good thing these happy shoes were half price because sorry to say this wasn't. But I couldn't resist this. This called my name from across the mall. I walked into the store, admired this, picked this up, sighed over this, drooled over this. Oh dear, did I just say drooled? Okay, okay, I admit it, I drooled all over this. Then I left this there and walked out. But a few hours later on our way out the mall, as we passed the store, this again called out to me, and broke me down. And this came home with me. I swear this just jumped into one of my bags. I guess I'm stuck with this now. Which makes me happy! Giddy with happy! Indeed!
But now, me and my happy shoes need to get to work!

That bag is your extra "perk" that your boss gave you on your vacation. All jobs have perks; that is one of yours. Enjoy it to the max!

Susanne...when I first clicked over here, I thought I landed on Linda's blog by mistake! LOL I saw these happy shoes over there and thought they were cute....and they're just as cute over here! :)
I am needing some new shoes...maybe I'll have to get some like these for my first day back home schooling full time next month! Right now, I'm not yet in the mood, so I might just have to get these...

My sister has happy shoes just like those - I bought a sober black pair. I have no idea why.Not on sale either - so no new purse for me :)
