First to plant these lovely flowers Tia got me:
It's the big gardening weekend here in my area. This is the weekend everybody dons garden gloves, drags out the shovels, hoes and garden hoses and gets in touch with their inner green thumb. Except I've never been able to find mine. Green thumb, that is. I always dance around the fringes of touching it. The desire for a beautiful garden is there, but the creativity and talent eludes me. Oh, and the fact that I don't enjoy the work of gardening probably has a lot to do with it. But a garden planter I can handle and these great wave petunias really spread and bush quite nicely. For the other planters, I'm off to the Home Depot.
And then when I'm done that, I plan to spend a lot of time in the adirondack chair with this, from Kay:
What are you guys up to this weekend?

I just saw an episode about the situation in that book on Primetime or Dateline or one of those shows. I asked for and received the book for Mother's Day. Such an intriguing story!

Have a great weekend.
Have a great weekend! The weather is great down here, too. Warm, but not too hot to enjoy the outdoors.
Sounds like a good weekend, Susanne...(we have the heat this weekend, too, though!)
Gardening and reading...ahhhh!
We have a busy weekend since our eight yr old's choir does their big musical production Sunday evening!
Then my mom will be here for the next couple days...so I need to get off to bed! :)
I hope you're loving your weekend, Susanne! It is SO cold here this weekend that I very cheerfully made some gluten-free muffins this afternoon just to warm up the house!
Long weekends are so nice! Hope you've had a good one...love those flowers. I never quite reach green thumb status either.
Saw that book in my church library this morning, had thought it might be good/interesting so I'm gonna check it out soon.
The cookies must have been good, since your lovely jar is now empty!
Beautiful blue flowers! Are they petunias?
we have sun but I wouldn't say it's hot - 15 - very pleasant! I'm heading up to the neighbours for a barbeque!
have a great weekend.
