The Mostest and the Greatest

Busy, busy day today. I have an interview with new parents tonight. After doing this job for over 17 years, I still find this part of the job nerve wracking and hard. So I have lots to do. Hence (you like that word?), I give you something that's been tucked in my bible for years.

~The most destructive habit.....Worry

~The greatest joy.....Giving

~The greatst loss.....loss of self-respect

~The most satisfying work.....Helping others

~The ugliest personality trait.....Selfishness

~The most endangered species.....Dedicated leaders

~Our greatest natural resource.....Our youth

~The greatest "shot in the arm".....Encouragement

~The greatest problem to overcome.....Fear

~The most effective sleeping pill.....Peace of Mind

~The most crippling failure disease.....Excuses

~The most powerful force in life.....Love

~The most dangerous pariah.....A gossiper

~The world's most incredible computer.....The brain

~The worst thing to be without.....Hope

~The deadliest weapon.....the Tongue

~The two most power-filled words....."I Can"

~The greatest assest.....Faith

~The most worthless emotion.....Self Pity

~The most beautiful attire.....your Smile

~The most prized possession.....Integrity

~The most powerful channel of communication.....Prayer

~The most contagious spirit.....Enthusiasm

Quite a list, isn't it? The one I tossed around in my mind was the Two most powerfilled words. I thought maybe it would be a sincere "I'm sorry". What do you think? Agree with them all? Have a different idea on any of them?

Interviewing new parents would make me nervous, too!

That is quite a list. I think I'd agree with most of them. I don't know about the greatest loss -- I can think of all kinds of losses and it would be hard to say which was worst. I think I'd agree with you about the power-filled words.

Funny you mentioned the only one I frowned at because really those words should be, HE can.

Great list though, makes you think.

These are good, Susanne! I like them, most especially the sleeping pill... peace of mind.

That was a very wise person who made up that list. I think "I'm forgiven" have been very power-filled words in my life. They have freed me from the weight of so much guilt.
Thanks for sharing that Susanne.

Hope your interview goes well.

I agree with those, and some of them really struck me (meaning--pay attention and learn!).

These are wonderful, Susanne! And I'd have to agree whole-heartedly with your two most powerful words. A good "I'm sorry" carries more weight than anything known to man.

What a great list, Suzanne. I especially like the most beautiful attire - your smile. That's so, so true. Our pastor once said something that I think about all the time. You get back from people what you give. Give them a frown and they'll frown back at you.

But when you smile at someone, it's almost impossible for them to not smile right back at you.
