The humble little shed. It graces many a good family's back yards. It is usually used to store yard supplies. Things like lawn mowers, shovels, paints, foldable lawn chairs, strollers, roll up pools, rakes, weed whackers, etc. I'm sure you can list your own interesting objects within your own lowly little shed. At our house however, the shed takes on a whole new meaning and becomes multi-purpose when left up to teenagers and one cat. Behold our "family" shed:
A reading nook
Or a place to lounge around. Complete with blanket.
I don't know if you can see it, but their cat is with them at all times when on this multi-purpose shed. I don't know if she's protecting them or just thinks it a cool place to sit and think, who knows. Wonder what the nieghbors sit and think.

Oh, that is something else! "Up on the roof..."
Whenever we go to Lowes or Home Depot, the highlight for the girls is to go into all the display sheds, one at at time...big fun! :)

Too fun. I think it feels like their own special getaway. I think the cat feels as if someone is relating to him/her on his terms. :)

At one time, we had a peacock- seriously- that lived on top of our shed. He just showed up one day and liked it.

That is so awesome! Our kids are always asking to get on our roof - just a bit too high and too steep for my liking! You are such a cool mom to let them have their hideaway!

WOW - I really don't think that I would have ever thought of sitting on the roof of a shed - or napping on the roof of a shed. Creative children you have.
