Laundry and Food. Good times.

Why oh why, ladies? Why did someone not jump in and tell me that my wonderful, obsessive list from Friday would also generate that much laundry when they arrived home? And whether they wore it or not, it has to be washed 'cause everything smells like they were visiting Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego when they were having their little issue with the fire. Oh, my. There are socks down there that are standing up on their own power. And a few things I will have to don a gas mask for as I sort them. I will come up for air probably sometime tomorrow. If you don't hear from me by Wednesday, you better send a search party.

Meanwhile I'll make a quick Menu Plan. I'll need all the help I can get this week although there are no guarantee's I will find my way to the kitchen.

Monday: Beef Stew (didn't happen last week)
Tuesday: Jule's Meatloaf, potatoes, mix veggies
Wednesday: Grilled Chicken Drums, macaroni/veggie salad
Thursday: Pasta with Meat Sauce,
Friday: BarBQue burgers, marinated vegetables
Saturday: Grilled Italian Sausages, baked potatoes, cucumber salad

Go see I'm An Organizing Junkie for more great meal plan ideas for the week.

Best of luck to you with the laundry. Remember, that which doesn't kill you will make you stronger! :0)

Oh gosh thanks for the reminder. I totally forgot that I was suppose to be doing laundry before I got stuck to the computer chair. Good grief...I'm walking away now!

My Very Nice Husband washed all of his own putrid laundry after his recent camping trip, which was nice. Sadly, when you mention Shadrach et al's furnace, I immidiately thought "her kids smelled like chocolate?" - because of that Veggie Tales movie. Der!
As usual, your menu makes me feel like moving to your house.

Hope you survive the laundry sessions, sounds like you need a protective mask or something, LOL!

Menu sounds great - I'm very curious about the grilled chicken drummies, they sound so good! I need to make some pasta or macaroni salad soon, so summery :)

Have a wonderful week!

Do you have one of those old wooden clothespins? You could clip it on your nose and deter the smell...

From the sounds of it they must have had a great time! Which can sometimes lead to not such great times for mom....:-)

Whew, that smoke smell is impossible to "air" out! Have fun with the washing. We are just trying to keep up with the beach towels here from summer swim team. It's killin' me!

We're having chicken stew tonight. I'll be thinking of you! =)

Just send out an s.o.s. if you get buried under all that stuff :-)
I remember those days.
In the meantime, it sounds like you'll be eating very well Susanne. Great menu.

We did summer youth camps for about ten years and oh it is so true that everything needs to be washed no matter what. I remember coming home and even my babies stroller smelled of campfire.

Maybe this is a lesson in less is actually better?? I may think about this as I pack for my children this summer.

So ... not to change subjects on you, but ... what kind of sauce are you using to grill your drum sticks with?

We haven't had grilled sausage in a while, sounds yummy!

Oh, yes laundry. . . . Always so much to do after a trip, and we went camping last weekend, and yes, you have to wash everything--regardless!!
