Well, it's finally spring and know how I can tell? Why, the Spring Reading Thing is finally here. Katrina at Callipider Days has set up a Mr. Linky so that we can snoopcheck out and see what everybody else has on their lists. I'm telling you, I got so many book ideas from the Fall into Reading Challenge that my To Read Booklist is a mile long. And some of those are on my spring list.
So without further ado I present my book list for the Spring Reading Thing.
This was one that was on a lot of your fall reading lists. So I'm giving it a go. From the back cover: ...in 1964, when a blizzard forces Dr. David Henry to deliver his own twins. His son, born first, is perfectly healthy, but the doctor immediately recognizes that his daughter has Down syndrome. For motives he tells himself are good, he makes a split-second decision that will haunt all their lives forever. He asks his nurse to take the baby away to an institution. Instead, she disappears into another city to raise the child as her own.
I've heard a lot of great things about this book. From the back cover: "...focuses on the model and guidance provided by God the Father - the ultimate child and family expert. ...a map for learning to see ourselves and our children through God's limitless tenderness-to raise our kids the way God raises us.
Highly recommended by the salesclerk at my local Christian bookstore. From the back cover: "Paige Williams slips into her hot tub in the blackness of night - and finds herself face to face with death. Alone, terrified, fleeing a dark past, Paige must make an unthinkable choice." Got your attention? Hee. Brandilyn's books have been coined as "seatbelt suspense". I'm looking forward to reading Brandilyn's work for the first time.
Another of my favorite authors. From the back cover: "...A blend of the movies Castaway and The Big Chill, with a touch of the television series Lost, creatively thrown together with the biblical story of the beggar Lazarus and C.S. Lewis's The Great Divorce." -Publisher's Weekly
The authors share personal secrets of multiplying love in any marriage relationship.
Another favorite author. The sheriff of Justice, Illinois, is hunting a killer and he's not pleased when a detective representing one of the victim's families comes to town as she might very well be the next victim.
Wow, looks like I really stacked the deck with favorite authors this time around. Maybe that'll guarantee I can meet my challenge.

Wow -- those all look good!! I am adding several to my "want to read someday" list.
I have read Before I Wake -- very good. I read anything by Dee Henderson the minute I can get my hands on it.
Happy reading!
Looks like a fantastic list, Susanne! I really liked Grace Based Parenting, and I always enjoy Brandilyn Collins' books. Thanks for joining the spring challenge. I look forward to your reviews!
Grace Based Parenting has been a book I'd like to read as well... Can't wait to see your review of it.
I've heard about The Memory Keeper's Daughter - I'm intrigued by it and may try to get it from my library some time.
What a good list. It's a pile of books I'd like to see on the bedside table of a friend's oceanside beachhouse guest room - where I'm spending the next two weeks, of course. Alas, I have no friend with a beachouse guestroom, and I am far from the ocean. But I have books to read! Enjoy yours!

I have The Memory Keeper's Daughter on request at our library.
I'm going over to check out some more of the spring challenge booklists.
My challenge will be to quit spring reading and do some spring cleaning!!
Wow, this looks like a great list Susanne! The Kimmel book really interests me. I did a really bad job on my list last fall so I'm hestitant to try again this spring. Maybe I be a little less ambitious. :-)
Great list Susanne, you can't beat a list of your favourite authors. I have always thought the memory keepers daughter sounded interesting....hmmm, I wonder will there be a summer reading challenge!
Again, you astound me with your reading. I am trying a new genre for me, a Frank Peretti book called, "The Visitation." Or Vistor or something like that. I hope you like Mem. Keep Daughter.
I've already started on the Memory Keeper's Daughter. It's good!
And Uncharted sounds very tempting...
Enjoyed checking out your reading list. I enjoy anything by Dee Henderson! I have heard a lot about The Memory Keeper's Daughter and am looking forward to reviews on the book!
Looks like a fantastic list of books, I have been planning on getting the memory's keeper's daughter but I am not until I make my pile go down a little. LOL
I've got the Memory Keeper's Daughter on my summer reading list. It sounds too good! Your whole list sounds good.
I haven't read any of these. Looks like you've got a great plan. Happy reading!
Violet Dawn is excellent, and Coral Moon is coming out soon! I haven't read Dee Henderson's latest, but it's on my shelf!
I want to read a lot of those, too! We'll have to compare notes.
Sounds like a great list you have there! I may have to try some of these myself!
Your list looks great! I'll have to check out that Thomas Kinkade book, sounds very interesting. I bet there are some beautiful paintings in the book.
I checked out your "want to read" list on your other blog before hopping over here, I just have to tell you A Child Called It gets nothing but rave reviews from me. I actually met Dave Pelzer at a conference my mom hosted, he's an amazing guy..his story captivates you. You'll have to let me know what you think of it once you read it. Good luck with your list! =)
You're going to love The Memory Keeper's Daughter, guaranteed. It's a wonderful book.
looks like some good reading! Let us know how they are.
I am going to add the Memory Keeper's Daughter to my list - sounds like a great one!
I'd love to hear what you think about Memory Keeper's Daughter....don't think my sister loved it but I think I still might want to read it.
I am interested in several of these! I may have to steal some of your ideas for a future list! Enjoy!
I just finished Memory Keeper's Daughter. It's a GREAT book! I'm sure you'll love it.
I'm going to look over the rest of your list now. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
oh, I need you to send me that Dee Henderson book when you finish it. I love anything by her!
Have a great time, and I'll have mine up tomorrow I hope.
I'm always so impressed with ALL the books you read and let us know about. All of these look good, so I look forward to hearing about them soon:)
Happy reading :)
Awesome list!! Dee Henderson is awesome...I thought that series looked good too! :) Have fun and way to go!
I've wanted to read "Grace Based Parenting" for awhile. I can't wait to hear what you think of it, and you've inspired me to go ahead and pick it up. You've got a great list here! Happy reading!
It will be neat reading Grace Based Parenting "together." I put the Memory Keepers Daughter on my own (imaginary and long) TBR list a while ago, and requested it at the library, but I was way at the bottom of the list, so I decided to buy it, but haven't yet. . . . Maybe I'll get lucky.
Susanne, I just keep hearing of Memory Keeper's Daughter, so it has to be added to my reading list for sure! Thanks for sharing your list.
Looks like an enjoyable Spring Reading Thing!
I've read Unchartered...and can't wait to hear what you thought!
Sounds like a great list! The Memory Keeper's Daughter is on my "someday" list. Have heard mixed reviews on it, but it sounds like one I might enjoy. It's going to be fun reading everyone's reviews. I'm going to have to check out Dee Henderson, too...never heard of her, but it sounds like my kind of read.
Good luck! And have a fantastic day!
Looks like a wonderful set of books! I just finished The Memory Keeper's Daughter a couple of weeks ago; I can't wait to see what you think. I also have a Dee Henderson book in my TBR pile. She's a new author for me, and I'm looking forward to giving her a try sometime soon.
Happy Reading :)
This is a great list, Susanne!
I'd love to read "Grace Based Parenting"...that sounds great and I believe there was a seminar last week at my old church by Tim Kimmel.
The Many Loves by the Kinkades also sounds wonderful...can't wait for you review! :)
Hi Susanne from Canada!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope all is well and you enjoy your reading.
Your list looks very interesting! I love the picture you added to go along with it too. I'll be interested on your reviews of the books. I might be adding a few to my summer reading list. Happy Spring and Happy Reading!
Super list. Grace based parenting is one I'd like to read. I had to come back and check your list again after your comment today. I've been a bit flighty lately and didn't remember what you'd included.
What a great list. I have read some of them and hope to read some more. Enjoy your reading!!!
Just stopping by to say hi and see what's on your reading list this spring! Enjoy!
It looks like we have similar tastes in books/authors. You'll love "Before I Wake" by Dee Henderson. Let me know how the Brandilyn Collins book is--I've set that on "if I have time" list. Thanks for letting me snoop/scope out your list. :)
