Tour Of Homes - Welcome

It's here. It's finally here. Boomama's Tour of Homes. I've been looking forward to this since she said she would host such a thing in Blogdom. I'm looking forward to visiting and getting a tiny glimpse into your homes where all your stories and thoughts originate.

And I'd like to welcome you to my home. If you were really here, the first thing I would do is offer you coffee, tea or cold drink, but seeing you're not really here please go fill your mug or glass, relax and we'll pretend you really are here. So off we go. I'm really grateful for my home. It's not the biggest there is or the fanciest and it's definitely not in a newer neighborhood, but we have been blessed here. We're raising our children here and have very happy memories inside this place. God has been good to us. And one time when we were just sort of dreaming out loud, mentioning moving to a newer neighborhood in a newer house, all our kids went "no way - we like our house!" Now that was music to our ears.

So come on in...

First stop, of course, is the kitchen so we can grab our mugs. Extra large. Cream for me, what about you? And don't mind the cheeseburger soup simmering on the stove. You can have some when it's ready if you're hungry!

Now, would you like to bring your drink into the livingroom. The chairs are more comfy but it really is a toss up where we ourselves spend more of our time. The kitchen is the hubbub place. Usually something is always going on in there. But the living room is quite nice to sit in too. It's where we read, watch t.v. or spend time on the computer.

That black thing on the green pillow beside the loveseat is a fixture there. It's my 16 year old cat. She sleeps alot now and likes a cushy pillow. I hope you're not allergic. If you are we can move out to the deck if you'd like. It's pretty hot in here anyway, and there's a nice breeze outside.

Yes, those are the trees that I was so thankful for in this post. And the bush in the middle of the picture is the peony bush I talked about here. Flowers are all bloomed out now.

And just before you run off, I'll take you in and show you where it is I am with my coffee each day to tell you the story and to read yours.

Thanks for coming by and visiting with me at my humble abode. Come again soon.

Once I managed to get past your very enchanting graphic at the top of your blog, I was really impressed with your inventiveness as a hostess, and that traveling mug was a brilliant idea! The hostess with the mostest!

Lovely home! Just beautiful. p.s. your linkie doesn't work from Boo Mama's. Thanks for the tour!

How sweet that your tour really felt like a tour with your mug there in every picture as though we were really moving through the house.

You have a lovely home. We have a couple of senior-citizen kitties too. They're all snuggled down on the other side of my nightstand on a comfy pillow.

Thanks for the tour!

I agree - cheeseburger soup recipe! Fall is coming, so soup's on. I loved the tennis shoes by the front door - and yes the red mug traveling was like that little spider that shows up on every page of that kid's book. Cute, cute. Felt very at home to be at your place.
