Friday's Fave Five #130

Hi everyone!  It's Friday and that means time to look for our blessings from the past week.  Guidelines are here if you need them.

It has been a bit of a ho hum week around here for me.  Nothing big and exciting.  So I had to do a bit more opening of my eyes to find my favorites amidst the routine.  But they were there waiting for me to notice them.  These are my top five favorites this week.

1.  Ice Cream Sandwiches made out of these cookies

and vanilla ice cream.  Oh my, they are sooo good together.  Very addictive.  Bet you can't eat just one.  These cookies are also wonderful dipped into a hot beverage such as coffee or tea.  Think I'll go to the kitchen get a couple right now.

2.  A fresh, clean carpet.  Every couple of months I pull out the handy, dandy Hoover carpet steam cleaner and have a go at the carpets.  There is something about a fresh clean carpet.  It makes me feel more relaxed in my home.  I know, weird, but it's the truth.

3.  A movie at the theatre.  A rare occurance for me.  My friend treated me to a movie.  It was great going to a theatre to see a show.  We took in "Unknown".  Enjoyed the escape with  popcorn and coke on the side.

4.  Tax receipts done and sent to the dayhome parents.  Always feels so good to get those done and out of the way.  Now to get our tax stuff together and to the girl who does our taxes.  And that will be done for another year.  Yipee.

5.  Weather that has been above the freezing mark.  It's been wonderful, to us that is warm, the snow is melting like crazy and the sunshine has been out.  It feels so good and I hope it is now going to stay around.

What are your favorite blessings from your week?  It may not always be obvious and easy to find them, but well worth looking for and noticing them.  Please join in and sign up on Mr. Linky.

I love ice cream sandwiches so much that I'm not sure I could give up the chocolate. But, I do love those ginger cookies as well....
We've been above the freezing mark also but now we are in a flood watch. I'm hoping it will get rid of the snow we still have left.

Maybe this means Spring is finally on it's way around your place as well? It's nice to get sunshine, isn't it?

Ginger cookies wouldn't often be my first choice, but they're good especially with hot tea!

Crossing something off my to-do list always helps me feel better, and warm(er) weather is a blessing!

It's not weird to feel relaxed when things are clean and fresh around us or maybe because I feel the same way, and I love the feeling :) Oh I love popcorn even when there's no movie. Glad you're getting sunshine there at last.

Did you enjoy "Unknown"? Glad to hear it's beginning to warm up for you! I know what you mean about getting those tax receipts done...I feel that way about getting my research papers graded.

Have a great week ahead!

I'm glad it is starting to warm up a bit. I love when anything in the house of freshly cleaned. I can imagine the dayhome, as well as any kind of self-employment, complicates taxes. I don't think hubby has started on ours -- I'm glad he ca handle all that.

sometimes ho hum weeks are the best! I enjoyed your list.

I love the feel of a clean carpet so I know what you mean.

Getting anything having to do with taxes out of the way is a favorite in my books! Good for you.

The movies are so much better when accompanied by popcorn!

I'm sure you are ready for the cold weather to leave! Spring is on the way. . .

You had a productive week -- taxes and clean carpets, either one would be a huge accomplishment, but both is great.

Ice cream and ginger cookies sounds delicious. I'm the only one in my household that likes ginger cookies, though, so I would have to eat them all myself:)

It's such a treat to see a movie in a big theatre. And movie popcorn. Glad you had a good week, Susanne!

I love all of these things!! (well, except the taxes, but I also was grateful that ours are done this week, too) I've never tried a ginger cookie ice cream sandwich, now I think I must!

Susanne,

I am so pleased to be following your blog AND I finally managed to get a Friday's Fave Five post together - on time! Thank you for the linky.

I love each change of season, but by the end I am so ready for the next one. I am anticipating spring with every cell I have, I think. Warmer, greener, fresher, NOW, please! Hope you feel it, soon.

Blessings,
