Friday's Fave Five #64

Hellooo? Is anyone out there? Or you all lined up at Black Friday sales sinces 4 a.m. I tell ya, that is an American tradition that I'm sorta really glad hasn't crossed the border. I cannot imagine myself doing that. Uh, uh. No way. Now a midnight madness sale, I just might consider. LOL. So if you're not in a coma from too much turkey dinner and/or you're not standing in line and you've decided to still join me, welcome to you! We'll get right into it!
1. A nice, patient person on the other end of the phone line when I called customer service for a problem with my daughter's cell phone. She took a long time and did not give up or get frustrated until the problem was solved. Thank you, nice lady, for your wonderful service.
2. Warm, fuzzy housecoats. Such a simple thing, but I love a nice soft housecoat. Perfect for when the evenings start getting colder and can't be without it on a Saturday morning sitting around feeling cozy with coffee in hand reading blogs and books.
3. Perogies. Love my perogies. Especially bacon and sauerkraut. Yum. Yum. And don't forget the sour crean!
4. Hubby's birthday. Or more specifically, planning hubby's birthday and having him love it from beginning to end. I love it when it works out great. Hubby is not a party type person so it was just the four of us (unfortunately the older girl can't make it home from school). We took him to A Christmas Carol 3D. And he thoroughly loved it. Once our tummy's digested all the popcorn we then took him to the mexican restaurant for one of his favorite meals. And then we just let him relax. A perfect day for him.
5. Being in a reading groove. I love being in a reading mode. I love those waves where I just soak up my books one after another and it's no effort whatsoever. Where I'm turning to my books rather than the tv remote. Where I can hardly wait to get a break to get into the book again. I'm in one of those modes now. Heavens, I'm even getting through some non-fiction. Now that's a good reading groove, if I ever saw one. LOL.

Yes, yes, I'm here (and no-way-not-shopping)! And ready for more thanksgiving in the way of five faves :-) I can identify with your #5 fave. And Happy Birthday to Mr. Living to tell the Story! Glad he enjoyed his day.

I'm not into Black Friday shopping, either. Way too crowded, and some of them start at 4 a.m.! I'd rather sleep in.

It's sadly rare to find nice, patient people in customer service departments. Glad you got one!

I have never had a perogie.

A belated happy birthday to your hubby! I am glad it worked out so well.

So all us "non-shoppers" are gathering here this morning instead of the malls. :-)

I'm thankful for patient service people, too. They really stand out, huh?

Glad you're getting some great reading time! Sounds heavenly. Enjoy your weekend!

That is such a sweet way to give your dear hubby a happy birthday.

When you read because you are enjoying it - well that's just heaven.

Something you said made me laugh: "so if you're not in a coma from too much turkey dinner..." LOL! I didn't have turkey but I'm really full I could fall asleep and off my chair any minute now LOL! Happy thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday to your husband.
My husband is not a party person too.

Oh and reading because you love it and have the time to do it - well that is just priceless.
Happy Day!

I'm here, just not at home. This is American Thanksgiving Weekend and we traveled down to (almost) the Mexican border to spend the weekened with our children.

I don't go Black Friday, or rather, I participate in the Buy Nothing Day.

Reading mode is a great place to be! Have a great weekend indulging the reading mode.

Sending belated Happy B-day wishes to your hubby. Glad to hear that Christmas Carol 3D was fun - I'm thinking of going too.

Mmm - a reading groove - I'm always reading but not always in the groove. I love when that happens.

Happy weekend Suzanne - and thanks for hosting!

I have no desire to get up at 4:00 a.m. to go shopping! I don't even enjoy shopping! Thanks again for hosting this. This is only my second time to post, but as you've heard so many times I'm sure, It's a great tool to help us reflect on the good things that happen in life.

No early morning shopping for me! You know, some stores did start their sales at midnight this year. It will be interesting to see if that is a trend that continues.

I'm with you on warm fuzzy housecoats. Wonderful!

Happy Birthday to your hubby. The movie sounds like so much fun!

And nothing quite compares to soaking up good books. Perfect!!

Happy Friday!

I have enjoyed these posts over at Barbara H.'s Stray Thoughts. This is my first time to participate.
I loved reading your list. My husband's Birthday is in December. Maybe I should plan something special for him. I love my winter house coats, and reading any time is a plus.

What a nice family day you had for hubbie's birthday. Sounds awesome! Do you make your own perogies? I usually buy the frozen kind, Cheemo I think is the brand name. They are pretty good. I've made homemade once and it was soooo much work.

Never been to a Black Friday in my life. They are called Boxing Day sales here, no matter what time of the year they are on.
Happy Birthday to your hubby!!
Bacon and Saurkraut perogies are one of my faves too, I even learned how to make them a long time ago. Have not had them for a long time!!
