Some things just never change. And in my case, I guess that would be the procrastination of homework. I used to be just horrible in high school and college. I'd cram for exams rather than studying bits here and there on a daily basis. And don't even get me started on term papers and assignments. There was many an all nighter pulled to do up term papers in 3 or 4 days rather than the 2 month allotted time. Guess I haven't learned a whole heck of a lot about not doing that because yesterday found me doing hours of homework for the Beth Moore course, Breaking Free, that the ladies in church are doing. There is homework for almost everyday. Lots and lots of reading, let me tell you! If done in a sane manner, it really should take about 1/2 - 3/4 of an hour a day. Do it the Susanne way and it was almost 3 hours straight of trying to get caught up yesterday when it hit me that oh no, next session is tomorrow night ( now today) and I had 4 1/2 out of 5 lessons still to do. Good thing I was WIDE AWAKE because of the darn time change, is all I can say!
Today? I can barely keep my eyes open. I think I'm getting too old for both homework and spring time changes.
Cute picture! I do like having more daylight at the end of the day, but I sure don't like losing that hour. I was worn out until a nap in the afternoon. And unfortunately I tend to be a procrastinator, too. I've often said I don't work best under pressure, but I do tend to get more done then.
ReplyDeleteI was taking a Beth Moore class until I had to drop out (Some things changed and I needed to be with Julianna that night.) I miss it so much! The homework was incredibly time consuming though. Nice to know a fellow procrastinator.
ReplyDeleteMy eyes are having a hard time, too!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pic!! LOL...I would rather have my daylight at the beginning of the day because I have to get up and out for work...but....either way, spring is COMING!! WHOO HOO! and my oldest gal is home for the week and kind of experiencing what you are saying about the term paper. she has A HUGE theology paper due Tuesday night and is JUST getting started. UGH...BUT..to her credit, the prof did NOT tell them about it until FRIDAY (the last day before spring break). so.....hm...maybe HE is a procrastinator as well? LOL.....enjoy the Beth Moore study..hers are intense!!
ReplyDeleteI have found that the older I get, the ability to "study" (read all nighters) like I did in college has escaped by abilities as well.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't mean I don't still try now and then... UGH! :-)
You poor thing....I'm exactly the same. Good luck catching up......homework and sleep.
ReplyDeleteThat picture is wonderful, it really made me smile.xxxxx
