2. Home grown tomatoes. Oh heavens I love this time of year. We actually did a comparison with "on the vine" tomatoes from the store. The tomatoes looked red and delicious but when compared side by side with this
those store tomatoes were sad, sad, sad.
3. Unexpected hugs. My younger girl gave me a hug out of nowhere for no reason. Coming from an almost 15 year old that felt pretty darn nice.
4. A hubby who knows how to fix just about anything. Even though he really dislikes playing the Mr. Fixit role, I am incredibly grateful that he does know so much and he bites the bullet and is willing to do it. He's saved us many, many times where we would have had to pay someone to do the job. Here he's up on the roof because, if you can believe it, when we had a couple of storms this summer the mortar started to come out of the chimney in chunks and it looked like it was going to fall in upon itself with the next big wind. It took him many days frying up on the roof in the hot sun but he did a great job! Thanks, Sweetie!
5. Great deals when you need them. I just love when I go to the store to get something I need and lo and behold there it is on a great deal. This week was sheets that I needed for my daughter's bed at about half off. Yipee!
What are your favorites from your week. Write up a post and we'd love to come visit. Don't forget to sign Mr. Linky so we can find you!

Susanne, We say the same thing about tomatoes here. The Professor won't even eat store bought ones anymore. Bargains! I wrote about shopping today too. Have a happy weekend, maybe with more hugs.
Will Josh Groban ever come to Bangkok ?.... :) That's one big tomato. I love hugs from family as much as I love great deals too. Have a great weekend!
Those tomatoes look delicious!! I would not eat store bought ones either if I had those!
That hug of your daughter, I can imagine you mention it in your favorites!!
I love that song, too, and you don't often hear people do it justice other than Josh Groban. This was beautiful. I imagine it was tremendous in person.
Unexpected hugs are a treat and a blessing, especially when kids are a certain age.
I have a hubby who can fix most anything, too, and I so appreciate it. In some ways I hate to tell him when there is a problem and add one more thing to his plate, but he'd much rather do it himself than pay exorbitant labor costs.
Good deals on just what we need at the right time are a thrill!
I love unexpected hugs too....Madison doesnt give them as much as she used too...but Miller does and they make me smile....have a good weekend.
Good morning Susanne! Yippee for handy husbands. It truly is a sweet thing to have your daughter give you an unexpected hug. Have a wonderful weekend...
My hubby is a fix it man too - and same thing - he doesn't LOVE doing it - but he does it! They are GREAT hubbies to have around!
I am with ya on the home grown tomatoes. Ours are just about done for the season. I have about a dozen I'm waiting for to ripen - but then we're not producing any more... so sad...
That song was gorgeous! I have actually never heard Celtic Thunder before... I'm going to look into them! (I do love Josh Groban's version of the song too.)
And a HUG from a 15 year old! WOW! You ARE blessed!!!
I love good deals! We bought two name brand pair of tennis shoes at Famous Footwear for under $40 before school! It was a true blessing!
Have a nice weekend!
Oh I love that song too but nothing beats Josh singing it...so awesome!! :)
Gotta love a good deal...it's a favorite of mine too!
Gracious! That tomato is huge! I'm glad you're finally getting some nice ones after the ones that had the problems.
Josh Groban? Any day any time. I check occasionally to see when he will be in Van or Toronto.
I'm not an opera fan either, but there is some good music from some of these artists.
I'm eating your tomato for breakfast.
Success on your roof project. Now you are ready for the winter.
Every week I say I'm going to do this and I never do! THIS week I actually DID it (for the first time)!

I love fresh tomatoes, too. I just got some yesterday. I bought them from a little old man who was selling veggies from the tailgate of his truck. He proudly told me that he and his wife are 83 and 85 and grew all those veggies theirselves!
The tomato does look big. I also love Josh Groban and I think my husband is like yours. He can fix anything!!
Happy Friday and Happy Weekend.
I love unexpected hugs, too. Invaluable because you know they're coming straight from the heart!
Hey! I love your #3 and 5!! My oldest, just 16, just gave me a spontaneous hug this week as well....so unlike her...I LOVE it!
My post will be up soon.....LOVE that tomato!!
I think I remember you talking about that Celtic Thunder before earlier this year. How wonderful they are. What a great week. I'll let you know what kind of meat was in the Tacos once I get the answer from Lisa...LOL...me and details...pffft Have a great weekend :)
Update...it was marinated flank steak cut across the grain is what she says. :)
That is some tomatoe! Did it taste as good as it looks?
Handy Hubby is on my list of faves this week, as well....also a handy son. They're great, aren't they?
#3 is my favorite.
